So according to what OBE1 says a new Metroid is in development and the studio behind it is a unexpected one (for him) . For those of you that don't know it OBE1's source for most of this leaks has been Laura Kate Dale (but for some reason he stopped saying it after the first few videos) who has proven to be a reliable source previously regarding the Switch.

Note that OBE1 claimed that he's not shure if the game will be shown at the Switch event.

So do you think this rumor is true ? Who do you think will work on this Metroid game ?

Would love it if it were true. But I don't listen to stuff like this. Only Nintendo announcements should be believed.

Rumors that can't be verified one way or the other in the near future are quite worthless. The title of the video also doesn't instill confidence that this is not a case of blatant attention-whoring.

The dude is simply gone crazy due to the boom of his channel, I'm reporting this simply because I find LKD to be a credible source and I know she is his only source...

I don't really trust that guy.

Its Naughty Dog. Now THAT is unexpected!

Whichever made. My favorite is 2D version.

Laura Kate Dale is backing his leaks up, however all his "leaks" are mostly pretty safe predictions. For example;

* Switch won't make the clicking sound from the trailer

* A Switch exclusive from Platinum & Atlus in 2018

* Metroid will happen, might be at event but might not, made by a certain developer, could be first or third person

* No Netflix, Hulu Plus or Amazon Prime streaming services at launch

* Switch online free on launch but could be paid afterwards

* Assassins Creed Egypt for Switch

His only oddball prediction is Resident Evil 7 (in 2018, it's a timed exclusive for PS4 so that fits) and it having VR support for the Switch, which wouldn't be usable if the screen was 720p, maybe just barely if it was high ppi, but there is still a chance that it has a 1080p screen (the battery drain wouldn't be that significant if content was rendered in 720p), which the PSVR also uses (albeit with 440-ish ppi and OLED).

I would love that, of course Sony might have something to say against it though :p

Also I want to take a second to apreciate the fact that the studios are in a perfect decreasing order by votes. Excluding Ubisoft, FU Ubisoft

Epic is making it using UE4.

Lol making a guess since they are one of the third parties listed and would be unexpected but sorta kinda make sense.

Hope it's true and hope it's From Soft or Insomniac.
