Nah in Ireland you can say nigga and it's not racist. People in other countries are way too sensitive about that.

If that's your stance - people should be more laid-back - you shouldn't have a real problem with people saying racist things about white people.

My stance isn't what matters. I was asking this websites stance.

Is it OK to say something about white people that would clearly be taken as racism if it was said about other races?

Equal rights and all that..

All forms of racism will be moderated.

I reported something racist against white people the other day and it was let go. If that same comment was made against black people, Asian or Middle Eastern then it would have been. What's the story with that?

Im black and irish and im offended by this

Both races were slaves around the same times. Black slaves were actually valued more then Irish. It's probably why Irish people have no problem saying nigga to each other. I'm sure you know this but the English took thousands of Irish woman and forced them and black male slaves to have kids.

How racist was the comment about white people? Do you have a link?

If the mods want to have another look I'll send it to them.

That's the post Kerotan reported, if anyone would like to know.

As with any situation, particularly one surrounding racism, sexism, homophobia and/or transphobia, context is key.

If you can't tell the difference between a white guy making sarcastic jokes about white people, and actual racists, then I don't really know what to say.

Ireland and Australia? Two of the most beer obsessed countries in the world? I think they'd mix pretty well actually

Yeah, they get a pints in them and the wheels are greased so to speak.

Wasn't there a thread asking for new badge ideas the other day? We have one here... the VGC Cupid badge: set up Rol and Kero on a beer date

lol Yeah, that would be awesome. Ya would have to be one smooth talker to get them to do it though.  "1st date" badge.  "2nd date" badge.  "1st date over" badge.

They are a perfect couple if you think about it. Imagine a son of these 2.

That would be interesting. I can't imagine which traits would be more prominent.

Rol lives in Austria. And we do mix. I and 5000 other Irish football fans marched into Vienna November 2016 and watched Ireland beat the Austrians off the pitch. Gave them a nice whooping.

Off the pitch however we shared many a beer and had fun.
