I do enjoy being a friendly and constructive member of this great community :)

By the way, I just wanna say I used to think of you as a toxic member and everything you said annoyed the crap out of me. I'm not sure if I just got used to it, but nah, I think you've really come around.

If you dont know vivster than Thats what you would think. Same goes for Rol

Im one of those guys arent I? Btw not sure if you havent notice but if im correct i think this means toward you. That said if it is i just think you should restrain yourself from saying anything nintendo related in the MC threads.

This is just to help you out. Im the idiot here who jumps at people (like yourself) when i know i should just ignore them. In my defense however i have been ignoring you for months because i didnt want to annoy good posters but i have a limit

This attacking people for no specific reason is a part of the problem, tbone.

Nobody pointed any fingers, nobody mentioned any specific members. Stop that shit. Your opinion on who the trouble causers are isn't wanted or needed in the discussion. The opinion on what we should do with these people is why I asked the question.

Ok first of all, i respect you bringing this topic up. But lets be real, me and 2 others that quoted me already knew who you were referring too. Just because i called that person out and you didnt doesnt change the fact that we all know who it was.

With that said go back to the person i quoted. I only mentioned him because he is literally pulling the "victim" card. He literally agrees with you without acknowledging that it is he who is the one who is disturbing the MC threads. Hell i even blame myself for engaging in it (though im not the only one) so its not like im pointing fingers only at him.

And again its not my opinion, we all know who you were referring too. I can post the link in which you were pissed off and quoted him if you like.

Not trying to argue agaisnt you hell i dont even want him gone from the thread. I want a good solution to this as well. And its for him to not engage in nintendo conversations. Or maybe bait others (like me because im hooked like a fish) into engaging in meaningless conversations

- Moderated, Carl

I told you to stop this. Not carry it on and double down on it in your reply to me.

This isn't an official mod question, but one of my own little questions for anyone interested.

What would the overall reaction be to the mod team removing problematic members of the community who don't actually "break the rules" with the posts they're making? We can all see and point out specific members (right or wrong) who continually cause problems in threads, get other members into trouble and remain unscathed thanks to the rule set. They're poisonous to any real discussion and I think the forum would be better off without them.

The best way to solve any problem is to remove the cause of that problem.

It's been something I've wanted the moderators to do for a long, long time.

I would say, let that person be banned on certain threads that they always cause disruption into.

Like I remember you guys banning Lawlight from posting on Nintendo threads.

Problem with tht is

1. Its a thread that he can participate in. Its not exclusive to nintendo. So thats why i dont think thatd the solution

2. Its the cheering that can also be baiting. In COMG thread for instance. Ill be honest the only reason why i dont engage there is because i feel bad that people are going crazy for pre orders when sales chart says otherwise. But thats a topic for another time

Im not saying to do a similar thing to lawlight. Its to actually ban the user for a couple weeks on certain threads that they always get trouble in.

This is the reason I almost never post here any more.

I won't be back regularly until things change. But that's fine. My PS4 and Switch are keeping me plenty busy.

I don’t think it would be a good idea, Carl.

But somewhere inside, I wonder if you’d include me in that list of yours... Even though I don’t think I disrupt the flow of discussions the way you explained...

That being said, I think it would be way too subjective for most cases and at that point, if the rules are basically in place for some users, but not necessarily for others, where actions towards them would be more based on preference and gut feeling... I don’t know. Feels like many would be walking on egg shells even if they mostly respect the rules, simply because some people may or may not enjoy their comments.

On second thoughts I don't think it would be a good idea. While people constantly target me it can be easily solved by just ignoring them. Which I plan on doing.
