Does this mean that I can call people trolls and obnoxious pricks now without being moderated? If yes, I completely support Talon's behavior.

We shouldn't be avoiding a moderation on TalonMan because he's site a site admin.

We should be avoiding a moderation on TalonMan because common sense should be at the middle of any decision a mod team makes. I've been a long time advocate of trimming down our rule set and moving to a more common sense model of moderation, and I've been saying for a long time that our current rule set can be condensed down to a simple phrase - "Don't be a dick".

If you're being a dick, don't be surprised to see people call you out on being a dick. Also don't be surprised to see the mod team turn a blind eye to someone calling you a dick from time to time.

A negative and baiting post shouldn't be reacted to, but rather, reported to the mod team and move along

I just want to voice my support for this idea. Some people get away with some ridiculous stuff just because it's not explicitly forbidden in the rules. I still think the discussion culture here is excellent compared to many other sites, but there's always room for improvement.

I just wish that logic applied to everyone.  I'm pretty sure if I told someone they're being a dick no matter who id get moderated. 

I think Talon was given admin powers directly from ioi though, and not the mod team, so they can't really do anything about it.

I want you here I think actually that the Project Managers idea is a good thing, because it means you won't have to deal with things like this directly, we can deal with it ourselves instead.
