Hey less time talking about games did mean more time playing games though!

Now running about in Master mode with the Master sword and fully upgraded Ancient armor gear

Finally got around to playing Forza Horizon 1 , Damn that game was great, just 3 races to finish off to effectively 100% the single player achievements of the game.

Sonic Mania on the Switch... Holy F that game is fantastic, was so worried that they would mess it up but other than one or two stages I think they hit the mark at every turn in that game (would have liked some check point special stages other than blue sphere)

Man.... been playing so many games in my break between contracts and the break of my account on here thanks to a holiday mistake to "reset" (destroy) my password! Switch is now up to 500 hours of total play time.... Maybe slightly too much given that it's been out for 180 days or so, didn't help that during the time off here I got a HDMI to VGA HD convertor so was finally able to connect the switch to my projector... so been exploring Hyrule between 6.2inches and 100"+

Also my God for anyone that see's Tetris on the PS4 for sale and thinks "it can't be as bad as reviews say... how could you have fps lag in tetris" Honestly, check out some online play of it.

Now... think that's enough off topic Mod chat from my last 2 weeks of being off here :D apparently since I didn't offer up a 1080ti or show my ass it went mostly unnoticed!!

I got nothing, never had an email sent to me after reseting the password, which had to be to the correct email address considering that is what I used to reset it... I am think it might have something to do with the stealth edit to my user name on here a while ago having messed things up, but yeah... gonna change PW to something I'll remember when on holidays so I don't take the "easy" way to reset it.

Oh also while away I got to plat in overwatch finally hurrah for me.

Regarding making the alt account to ask for help... didn't wanna go that route as there should only be one Ganon... Crotch on here... also didn't wanna get moderated for making an alt over something that I thought was a mistake on my part... but yeah, password reset function right now just destroys your existing password and leaves you locked out.

Hmm, internet gaming community! I guess you're so bad, the whole community decided to collectively implement it.

We're living in a forum where the admins are not able to do something as simple as editing forum rules. Just sayin.

So i'm not trying to be rude or anything but I really have to ask about the validity of my recent ban.

I mean "oh shut up" is seriously something really worth moderating?

First of all, the context of that was not to be inflammatory, but to deflate the posters exaggeration. The same as waving a finger or a hand. It wasn't like "SHUT UP YOU IDIOTIC STUPID C*NT" (I'm only using cap locks as an example, not mad) , it was like "Oh shut up with that exaggeration". I can't explain it well, but i'm sure that that context has been used before when saying "Oh shut up"

Even if it was inflammatory though, is that seriously something worth moderating? "Shut up"? I mean, the guy and me - we had a perfectly fine conversation with no fights or ill will towards each other. And it's not like I was stopping serious discussion in the thread. I didn't respond to every user with "oh shut up!" My interactions in the thread were fine, whether or not you agree with my admittedly shitty opinions. The guy was a nice dude and we had a perfectly fine back and forth.

This was also a POLITICAL THREAD, whether it's called such or not. Political threads are usually filled with toxic behavior and usually warnings are distributed before bans due to the nature of politics. Yet I got a straight to a ban because I say something as mundane as "oh shut up"? I don't even think that's toxic really.

Like I can get if I literally replied with toxic comment after toxic comment, or tried to stop discussion with it over and over again. But it just seems like a really unfair and odd ban to be honest. I would have emailed the mod, but I couldn't figure out how to. I'm not really upset about not being able to post for 3 days, but given that I went from no bans for 7 and a half months to a ban over shut up - having that on my record just seems really disappointing. If I get banned again for a legitimate reason I'll have a much larger ban length over something that just seems trivial.

I'll admit that looking back on it the comment is low quality and filled with bad arguments, but I don't really see anything wrong with the post from a moderation standpoint. Even the cuss words aren't used in a rude way.

Context is key.
