Didn't outsell GTA V, so we all know it didn't.

That's 'gest' to me but a 'good point' to others.

No worries, guys. Sony expected higher sales too. It even happens to the pros.

What were Sony's sell-through expectations by the end of the holidays?

And what is the sales figure of the Pro?

We have no idea. That probably depends on Xbox sales as much as it does the ps4 (EDIT: well, obviously :)  ), as the ps4 is likely going to be down a decent percentage from last December.

I have to admit, Sony is going to come closer to its shipment numbers than I expected. Considering how much higher it was than last year, I thought that 20 million shipped number was going to get cut significantly by March 2017. It looks like they aren't going to reach it, but it's not going to be by much.

I think its the otherway around (skewed towards PS2).

In the end things are as they are.

A launch date is a launch date, reguardless of if you launch simultanious world wide.

PS4 is still ahead of the PS2, if you go by launch dates (and dont skew things in favor of the PS2).

Comparing an equal amount of fiscal quarters for each region isn't skewing the data in favor of the PS2, it's the only fair way to make a comparison when you have to deal with differently staggered launch timing by region.

I'm pretty darn sure Sony pumped out as many PS2s as they could at launch. Even if the launches were aligned, it would have just led to quicker sellouts and very similar numbers, if not the same numbers.
