I expect it to happen, actually. Maybe at the ending of PS4 life cycle, but in some time it`s pretty sure that any non-Pro model is just going to be stopped being produced, it`s just a matter for Sony R&D find a way to produce the PS4 Pro using cheaper manufacturing process and to components shrinking even further down the road.
Wich is just nice. PS3 got 3 revisions and PS2 over time became just a single board on the last models. Sony is very pro-active when it comes to shrinking their consoles components as much as possible.
