There are so many, but throwing my NES off a 10 story building will always be the one closest to my heart.

playing Street fighter and iss 94 on snes and also just gaming on my favorite console the N64 loved that console. So many memories off all nighters on goldeneye and perfect dark, to playing absolute masterpieces like Ocarina of time and banjo kazooie

GameCube being my introduction to Nintendo. I foolishly spent my gaming life up to that point being a staunch Sega fanboy, avoiding Nintendo whilst secretly admiring them from a far.

The opening cutscene of Metroid Prime probably stands out as the most memorable shot of gaming to me.

That game's entire opening act aboard the Orpheon is all-time gold in my book. The building sense of foreboding, the data logs, the way you're organically eased into combat by fighting wounded pirates that often have broken legs and can't flee, or impaired aim due to brain damage, the escape from the exploding ship, just amazing.

Super Mario 64

Defeating Bowser was so satisfying. It felt like an impossible challenge for me because I died many times in the final fight. My favorite N64 game.

Wii

I had no idea how something like motion control could work in a videogame. But after I tried out the console I was absolutely impressed. Playing with the Wii when everybody was talking about it was really entertaining.

Multiplayer with friends

Playing Nintendo games with friends is always something special. I had so many awesome moments in MK 64, MK Doubledash, Mario Smash Football, ...

I never forget these memories.

late 90s-early 00s

pokemon was exciting both on tv and gameboy
playing snes and n64 at friends house while they came to me to play ps1
summer days playing tony hawk underground, wind waker and mario sunshine

man those days had magic

Pokemon anime was actually decent for XY, but got back to being bad in S/M :(

Quite a shame. the 5 minute shorts they've put on were 10/10. imagine if they had high quality episodes like Generations

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

For whatever reason, after launch, there were serious controller shortages. I remember playing Mario Kart 64 multiplayer (with no music, I think. Wtf?) Using a regular controller, a decent 3rd party controller, a horrible 3rd party controller, and a big ass joystick! Still had a blast, though.

I would say that some of the multiplayer party nights on Wii were excellent. Just Dance parties were a lot of fun. "Gaming party" on Wii was the first (and so far only) time where it was an actual party, with attractive women, with dancing and more. Before the closest thing to a "gaming party" were 4 guys sitting on their asses pretending like they were guitar heroes with annoying plastic noises, the fat socially awkward one saying unfunny immature jokes while stuffing his face with crisps and nerd beer, some of it falling on his sloppy looking tee-shirt that he wears because he doesn't know how to dress himself.

But Wii was truly a system full of magical experiences when it came to multiplayer. I think it was Warioware Smooth Moves that was the first game where we had an actual party going on, and real people would take turns to play. It was the first time where playing a local multiplayer game that was actually fun to play and had fun people playing it, and not the nerdy depressing thing you did because it's the only thing you can do with your old nerd buds, but you still wanted to keep secret from your normal friends.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Original Gameboy and Gameboy Color were normally i owned Nintendo handhelds, it was not really that great at 1st until i owned N64 and GCN. Boy, these two home consoles were really huge and played more than PS1 or PS2, i had so much fun playing Smash, Mario Party, Pokemon Stadium, Sonic Adventure 2, Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda OOT and Zelda Wind Waker with my cousins non-stop. This was only 4 years of play, from mid 2001 to mid 2005 then stop.

It's very sad, i am the one who decided to stop inviting my cousins due to high school hard work, i missed them a lot.

1.) Super Mario 3. Just everything about that game, it was just Nintendo at its peak too, like there wasn't "video games", it was just all "Nintendo".

2.) I remember waiting so long for the N64 to come out (almost three years of following every bit of news on it!) and then on launch day I remember my local store had big boxes with the "N64" logo on them, with N64 games/controllers/systems inside of them, just remember getting real excited.

3.) Playing Donkey Kong Country for the first time on the SNES ... today the graphics don't look that amazing, but when I first played it, I remember being completely blown away. It just looked so much better than anything else. Not just the graphics, but little touches like day turning to sunset then to night, the rain stopping, and the David Wise soundtrack. Still one of my favorite, if not the favorite game soundtrack.

4.) Finishing Super C on the NES with my cousin and then celebrating like crazy, lol. I recently played Super C on the NES Classic and yup, it still holds up better than a lot of the other NES games.

5.) Playing the Super NES for the first time and realizing that it had buttons on the shoulders! I thought they were just "bumps" on the top for comfort or something.

6.) Coming home one day and my brother had bought Star Fox 64 with the Rumble Pak, and sitting down and just digging into the game, feeling rumble for the first time was really cool.

7.) That moment that Street Fighter 2 on the Super NES almost ends your friendship with your best friend because the competition got too heated.

8.) Getting a phone call one November 1998 evening from your buddy who works at Toys R' Us that they have your reserved gold copy of Zelda: Ocarina of Time ready for pick up and scrambling like a mad man to get to the store asap.
