That's because lying isn't marketing :)

Just admit it, you're a MS fanboy who will spin anything to defend your corporate overlords.

Phil is just crying because Nadella won't give him the money to buy exclusivity for stuff so he's trying to make these deals seem like a bad thing.

There has been a noticeable drop off in exclusive marketing rights/DLC and full-exclusives on Xbox One come to think of it.

Phil Spencer can try to play the good guy but that look has already faded. He and Microsoft's words are pretty much worthless as far as playing fair and expecting the competition to do so as well. Granted, he seems like a good guy, but as a businessman I sense major passive aggressiveness. Its like that that attitude cannot be detected. Tomb Raider? Call of Duty? EA access? The Xbox Scorpio? You will do anything to get a shred of marking that is over Sony, so spare us all.

1. Wrong, it is one of the more popular bundles and just a week or two ago it was 250$, making it just as expensive as the Battlefield 1 bundle. It only came back to 299$ recently and even then the only games bundles lower were the Battlefield 1 bundle and the Minecraft one that JUST RELEASED for 229$

2. Nope. I'm talking about the renewed edition. The Xbox One chart I was reffering to was from last week, which showed the most bought as well as the game most played that was a paid for game(i.e. no free games). It showed the Rainbow Six Siege Year Two edition. Now to be fair it is probably showing the overall game's statistics, but when you consider that A)  the first version of Rainbow six to show up is the 60$ edition and B) there's a likely possibility that the majority of sales are for the 60$ version that becomes irrelevant. Either way there isn't a Rainbow Six Siege bundle, and Siege is for the most part a "niche" game compared to Gears yet it is getting more and more popular while Gears isn't.

Ya, it's called the charts from last week you could've accessed. Just look at "most played paid" games and you can see what the most popular games are. Other titles like Halo 5 were higher, which is somewhat to be expected, but Gears titles have generally been able to derail Halo titles that released years prior for at least a few months straight. Considering it was a  new game on sale too ... not to good.

Actually though, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't know that Battlefield 1 was that low, shoot, would've picked it up. oh well.

1. The 1TB bundle is $300-350 at every retailer I have seen, that's the typical price range it has varied between. Never once saw it on sale for $250. You might be mistaking it for the blue Gears 500GB bundle, which is $250, but I've only ever seen that offered at the Microsoft store, if they even still offer it, so no, it still wouldn't qualify as "massively bundled". The fact of the matter is the vast majority of Gears bundles are the 1TB and the special collectors edition. More expensive than the more commonly stocked Minecraft and BF1 500GB bundles. And the Minecraft bundle has been out awhile, it didn't "JUST RELEASE". It was just put on sale. No offense, but you don't really seem to know much about this stuff you are throwing out.

2. Siege is an online shooter with a long tradition on consoles. lol @ being niche. It's not ARMA or something. Furthermore yes, it's been getting more and more popular thanks to continued free post launch support and friendly DLC, where as Gears has shitty grindy unlocks and premium cosmetic DLC. I hope Siege continues to rise and Gears continues to fall. But where one shows up on "Xbox charts" is irrelevant. Bottom line is you can buy Rainbow Six for $25 and have been able to for awhile.

By sales data I meant any sort of real data, not popularity charts. And yeah, pretty much every game has been on sale this holiday. Thats why its pointless to criticize a game because it had a sale during the holidays.

Some people really need to do research before saying things they have no idea about lol. The USA charts just came in and it shows that Battlefield 1 very high on the list(higher than Infinite Warfare!) which shows it is the most bundled game in the USA.

I really disagree that Gears 4 needed to fall the Coalition just needs to drastically change the Microtransaction cost or something similar to Halo 5.

Someone needs to learn to read before replying. I never said Gears was the most bundled, realistically Battlefield has become such a huge series there was almost no way that Gears would be more bundled. My point was a bundled xbox exclusive with a history of popularity and doing more than 6 million total sales physically should probably be selling better than most games, not Battlefield in particular. Obviously Battlefield is going to sell better and I wasn't expecting it to do better than Battlefield. But the fact that siege had more players last week than Gears of War 4...even with being on the market much longer. That's kind of sad, I mean honestly Gears 4 should be more popular but it isn't because of huge player drop off.

And yea, there are a lot of problems with the game, Microtransactions are just one of them.

I mean Darkenergy to be fair I made a pretty long comment clearing things up and explaining my point but i figured it would just be annoying having paragraphs of talking points simply about one game on a forumn that isn't even specifically about that game so i just deleted it. So sure if you want to keep using fallacies or address points I didn't make go ahead i just won't respond.

HUGE EDIT :

So I just checked....

I was actually right this whole time lol. You can't buy the 20$ version of Rainbow Six Siege on the Xbox store anymore. Currently, the regular edition is 50$, the Year 2 version is 80$(it is sold separately), the complete edition is 100$. Right now, the regular edition which is no longer on sale for 20(like i've been saying this entire time) is selling better than Gears of War 4 on the Xbox store even though gears is a huge xbox exclusive and is going for around 20$. Go look at the chart. When it comes to most played, Siege is beating both Halo and Gears in the charts. Gears IS in the top 20 though, but it's pretty low on that list. So yeah, all the "misinformation" you corrected me on was actually right - even after the game went back to 50$ for the standard edition, it oustold Gears of War 4. But whatever lol.

@Angry you said the Gears 4 bundled is the most popular one wouldn't that mean it's the most bundled one? Or else there wont be more Battlefield 1 bundles than Gears 4 bundles.

Gears 4 is still selling higher than Siege even without digital included so using player count is pointless.

Like you said don't reply because this conversation is pointless.
