Forums - Sony - PS4: God Of War Playable From Start To Finish

Probably early 2018 then. Late 2017 is jam packed and Sony doesn't like launching games where there are lots of 3rd party games.

I'm itching to find out how long it took them to complete a full play through.

I was expecting March 2018, but an august 2017 would be super (nothing much launches august and its when the games market rebounds after a quiet summer).

I'm not sure what Sony should do about Scorpio and Switch, I think even if they don't want to, they'll want to have at least 1 core sony franchise in Oct/Nov to combat console sales of those, even if its competing with other AAA games. So I think there is a good chance of GOW and certainly GT being out before the end of 2017. Then add in console price cuts, certainly for the pro, I think they'll do very well.

So actually I think its Christmas 2017.

Holidays 2017 would be awesome! But March 2018 seems more likely.

Quite possible as thats what theyve done for many GOW games, if its the case the I think they'll lead with GT for Xmas 2017.

I honestly don't see why I'm the only one thinking this will be a October or November title meant to combat the Xbox Scorpio. There's going to be HUGE advertising most likely about how "this is why you need the pro" or something along those lines. Might even be a bundle for the Pro, maybe it will be a premium bundle, maybe it will be like buying the game free, either way I think October November is basically guaranteed.

I don't know why I interpreted this as "there will be no cut scenes" but I shouldn't have.

Perhaps it's because the cutscenes are integrated into the gameplay and the transitions between the two are seamless. There are no cuts whatsoever (unless it's changed) throughout the entire game.

The PS5 Exists.

The game will release in March not in holidays. Its a God of War game.

So I think it will be March 2018.

The whole point of this gow is to break tradition.

I don't think march is a certainty at this point.

That can happen.

Can you imagine how crazy could it be if God of War, The Last of Us II and Death Stranding release the same year?

2017 seems pretty epic for Sony, but 2018 could actually be legendary.
