PS4 Was the Console with the Most Quality Exclusives in 2016

Metacritic has put together its annual industry summary, revealing that the PlayStation 4 was the console with the most quality exclusives in 2016. According to the site's data, the system landed 13 exclusives with a Metascore of 75 or above, while the Wii U and Xbox One could muster just three and four respectively. To its credit, the Nintendo 3DS performed best in this area, though only 57 games were rated for the handheld overall, compared to a gigantic 445 on Sony's home console.

The average Metascore for all PS4 games reached 69.1, with four titles surpassing the coveted 90 milestone. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was the highest rated title of the year, topping out at 93 with over 100 critics attributed. Another strong year for Sony's flagship format, then – and it looks like things will only get better as we move into 2017.

The editors of the magazines and gaming portals like IGN say the same thing: PS4 is the best games-system this year. It was clear in my opinion. Uncharted 4 is Game of the Year 2016. Ratchet & Clank is the perfect game for Nintendo Fans and The Last Guardian is a unique game. In addition, there are some other great titles this year. And 2017 wins the PS4 again. So many amazing and big exclusiv-games then. The PS4 is the best console for west&japan gamer and developer/publisher.

2017 list: Persona 5, Detroit Become Human, Horizon Zero Dawn, Ni No Kuni 2, Gran Turismo Sport, Yakuza Zero and Yakuza Kiwami, Nier Automata, Crash Bandicoot-and Wipeout-games, 2x Kingdom Hearts Collections, Ni-Oh, FF Remaster & first Final Fantasy 7 episode, Digimon World Next Order, Tales of Berseria, Gravity Rush 2 and many, many more. + the multigames ala Mass Effect 4, Tekken 7, Resident Evil 7, next Fifa/CoD, Read Red Redemption 2 ect :)

What else can you expect from our supreme overlord, Sony. Praise be to Yevon.

Yeah, UC4, Ratchet and The Last Guardian and bunch o other exclusives can't be topped by anyone else.

In all fairness it's been this way since the start of the gen. Xbox has good games but PS4 still trumps it, even in the 'PS4 has no games' years.

2017 looks to be much better than 2016.....
PS4 is the new PS2, its the console to own this gen, your missing out on too much if you dont.

Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank and The Last Guardian destroyed everything this year!
