Nope.  It's a handheld.  Different set of aesthetics, different market approach.

Okey, so a handheld is not a console now? That's... new. The headline states "console", not "home console". Headline would be right if that was the case.

I can't vouch for the article itself, but I've always seen a device such as a 3DS or a VITA  as a handheld while several outlet have shared my view as well.

I've always seen them all as consoles, though "home console" and  "handheld console" are subcategories to separate them.

Yeah, it's obviously a handheld. I'm not questioning that. I'm questioning why a handheld is not a console. They're not exclusive as far as I'm concerned. A console is a device to play games. 3DS plays games. Even Napsters are consoles XD.

At least those headlines would be true (according to metacritic scores at least).

I like how people get annoyed over metascores, so, yeah. I like the third headline for laughs XD.

I never think of handhelds when the word 'console' is used but I'm only speaking for myself. Maybe change it to 'home console' to avoid confusion.
