Forums - Nintendo - I flew too close to the 1TF sun and my Switch wings melted.

My hype was: It's 3DS version 2. That's it.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

People need to stop using the stupid defense of " Dyou care so much about power get a PC/GTX1080"

It's a silly defense of the Switch's power, Just because you think the Switch is weak doesn't immediately mean, "Oh well if you care about power get a 1080" That's just really dumb.

Thinking the Switch should be more than 0.4 TFlops when used as a home console doesn't mean you're a power hungry maniac who won't settle for anything less then a 1080.

It just means you're not happy with a "home console" being inferior to machines released 3 and a half years before it.

The argument is equivalent to someone saying "That house is too small for me", and then the reply being "Oh well if all you care about is size then you should buy a mansion."

Stop blowing peoples requirements and standards out of proportion. I'm tired of this being the go-to argument for other Nintendo Fans when it makes zero sense.

There's nothing wrong with thinking 400Gflops isn't enough, and it certainly doesn't equate to "get a pc." It's a valid complaint.

I think those are valid complains if you care about power. I have another way of thinking though, which I think is valid, and it applies for some peoole saying that power isn't that important. I think that being an underpowered, cheap console would make it more accesible for casual gamers, who are now more aware of Nintendo's existence after the last months, when Nintendo pull some wins in marketing and smartphone business. What's important, games. If Switch is easy to develop for, that could mean more Ninty games without those awful WiiU droughts. I think that third parties, though welcome, will be irrelevant for Switch's sucess. More Ninty games and exclusives is what will say if Switch will be a win or not. Nintendo has to capitalize with its IPs. With a reduction of development time, that would be a given. And they can put a nice catalogue of exclusives, think about something like 3DS+WiiU combined. That would be dreamlike.

... never heard of Remote Play?

http://ca.ign.com/wikis/playstation-4/How_to_Use_PS4_Remote_Play

Yes, I have heard of it.  Sounds not much more useful than using the Wii U Gamepad in the next room over from the Wii U console.  Not sure how or why you think this compares to the portability the Switch is offering away from it's dock.  Also, with the Switch, you are paying one price for the dock and the portable aspect.  By your method, PS4 - $249-$299 + Vita - $199 = $448-$498 to be able to play your console games on a handheld somewhere within range of your console.

Quoted from your own link:  Remote Play has a limited but undefined range. This feature is optimal when both the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita are located within the confinements of the same WiFi network at the time of gameplay.  But using remote play outside of your network might result in connectivity problems, or latency

And you can add in the cost of the PSTV if you want to play your Vita games on the TV.

Thanks, I have my melodramatic moments. Usually when Nintendo has me face-palming in despair.

I use it outside of my home network, from my workplace during my lunch time, and it works fine for me.

Then Ninty is very good developing that game. I have a high score already in there.
