Islam is never the problem, the problem lies with the corrupt people telling you about the religion. The Saudis have exported the Wahhabi/Salafi orthodox interpretation of their Islam to other countries.

It also has to do with culture. The Arab world and Afghanistan are the problematic places, but the Turkic world, Indonesia, Balkans for example are much more tolerant.

Don't think Shia exists really on this site or a lot of the net, since I seen it bashed a couple of times and no one overtly defends them, given they are usually not in the lime light outside of being slaughtered in Iraq by old regimes and ISIL.

I would be Shia, if I believed in concept of religion (Agnostic to N/A here). However I too believe it has ruined countries policies (Pakistan) namely since I believe in the concept of Church and State should be seperate and that might be start of my disliking the concept of the religion.
