Heard the new Final Fantasy game is doing alright too, that used to be exclusive to Nintendo. YAY NINTENDO!!
It's interesting how many people didn't give a damn about mobile, as far as being hateful and resentful towards mobile gaming, but as soon as Nintendo's there... mobile threads everywhere, and it's no longer the "cancer of the industry".
I enjoy games in whatever form they come.
Top grossing? Well, it does cost 10$...
Most apps are really cheap or even free. But it appears to be quite popular indeed.

to me it's still cancer, and now Nintendo is sick too.

I can understand the dislike of it, but I get hooked by filthy casual games from time to time. Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Final Fantasy Mobius, and weird Anime RPG's. They're definitely a different experience, and I can identify the mechanics designed to be "addicting", the progression systems and such. But I enjoy the grind.
Of coures they'll never replace traditional games for me, mobile games are just a way to have a quick bit of fun without having to think much.

I used too, but I end up with only a bad feeling after a while, they aren't good for anybody.
SMR is a bit different though, it's a complete game, it's not candy crush, but still, going from Super Mario Galaxy to this? No thanks.

You probably meant NSMB. Don't worry, I forgive you :) |
No, NSMB is a boring game. Don't care about it either. It maybe fun for people who never played a mario game before, but I played every mario game since the NES, and I liked where the series was going, Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1 & 2 are amazing.
NSMB? Mario 3D world? meh...
I still don't give a dam about mobile gaming.
...but good for Nintendo.
3 star rating on itunes? are people having tech issues with the game, it's strange that it would be rated less than PokemonGo with all of that games flaws.
As for Maxler above, best to just keep an open mind when it comes to games lol, as for the "it maybe fun for people who never played a mario game before" what is that meant to mean? That it wouldn't be enjoyable otherwise? I would imagine quite a large number of the 73million sales of that game were to people who already had played a Mario game.
