Forums - Nintendo - Generation 2 Pokemon Come to Pokemon Go! ....Sort of : The Monday PoGo Reveal

Brought to you by Game Xplain xD

So throughout last week, there were rumors about updates coming to Pokemon Go, including generation 2, and on Monday we would get more info on new Pokemon coming. And... they are here now!... Only sort of. Pokemon like Togepi, Pichu, and select others (it doesn't say which either...) are coming via eggs from pokestops. So, if you want to get some of these new pokemon, you'll just have to HOPE you hatch them.

So, who's excited for this update? Who's majorly disappointed (I sure am)? Who's still playing???

Somewhat smart to do this, but should have done this right after the Halloween event.

Well that's the absolute worst way to reignite excitement.

They're not gonna get players back with that move.

They are really moving this game quite slllllloooooowwwwwww.......... but eh! Their the ones that will suffer if its the user base gets and worse.

Not sure why they are holding back so much for Gen 2, but this won't bring back players :/

That said, even Gen 2 won't bring me back to playing the game :p

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Wow. I bet there's more disappointed than happy players now. I mean, this is good, but I kind of think everyone was expecting more. Not only is it just a few new Pokémon, they're also coming from eggs only. Supposedly you don't get them from old eggs either, but only new ones instead. What that means, combined with winter and the fact that you can't discard eggs, is that a lot of players are likely to get these new Pokémon in like a few months. Personally I'm not expecting to get any new Pokémon from eggs before summer, because it's cold out there and I'm not going out there holding my phone in my hand. I can catch the occassional Pokémon but that's pretty much it for playing outside.

Um, I still haven't opened up Pokemon Go in almost a month, probably still won't after this update.
