Halo 5 will probably sell maybe 350-400k physical this holiday, and 100k digital. So 6.5m by years end, and sell 1ml next year with digital(750k physical 250k digital). Then were looking at 7.5ml by 2018 which Halo 6 should launch.

That 5 million was shipped to retailers though so if anything VGC had it overtracked unless digital sales are below 20% which wouldn't really make sense.

Considering it was either undertracked or digital was around 31-33% as of the end of January I don't think sales are that bad. If digital is at 32% still and physically is at 4.5 million as u say than it's at 6.6 million total. Ya that's not great but it should reach about 8 million lifetime. Not the best sales imaginable. Down from previous games but it launched early in the gen. So did halo 3 you might say. True but when halo 3 launched there was little competition on 360. Now when halo 5 launched there where around the same amount of consoles but the shooter genre over saturated. Of course the game could probably be doing better if the campaign wasn't crap.

The looks of it they probably overshipped a lot to get that 5million shipments(my opinion). There are still a lot of "limited edtions" in different places and you can get them very cheap. In amazon at least they gave them away free this summer with some consoles. Halo 5 hasnt charted very well on different countrys retail weekly/monthly top lists, so they need to get a lot of sales digitally. It wouldnt surprise me if they still sit at around 5million shipments or little over that. I might be completely wrong though

Frank o Conner director of 343 said it sold not shipped 5 million copies in its first 3 months. It came out October 27 I think so that 5 million sold not shipped was on January 27th 2016.

Any links for that? I cant remember him clarifying if its shipped or not, cant find it either where he says its not shipped. If its sold to consumers then fair play to them.

Seems like it's doing quite well. Not the juggernaut it once was, but hey. On a personal level, I loved the first 2. After that it's all politics. I bet even the worst of the bunch since then have been great too.
