cod down nearly 50%

Ouch. Will have to see if they can recoup some of the loss with next years entry, will them finally returning to a non-futurisitic setting be enough, or is this the start of a probably slow demise.

Huge drop fot COD. I expect it to be down with digital too because BO3 seemed yo had a better digital ranking. Also which number is more accurate? Someone linked PS4 winning by about 200k buy i saw lots of posts in this thread saying 300k.

What the hell kinda NPD result is this? Give us some numbers if they know that PS4 is #1, therefore that means they have the numbers.

what are you talking about? Sony and Microsoft have never actually given numbers. Or atleast in recent times.

That's why I can't tell that anyone who considers a possible 300k gap not big, that is wrong! If that was without the PS4 pro launch, then 300k is surely a big discrepancy!

To be honest, for me an impressive gap would be 500k+ under these circumstances...

1m-1.3m vs 1.5m-1.8m!

Ok.... you realize the PS4pro is not only just a more powerful "PS4" that plays all the very same games that any PS4 out there can play but that it's also more expensive right?

You also realize that Sony, devs, publishers don't care which PS4 sku sells more or less and to them PS4 (period) has adding 300k to its lead?

lastly, do you know this is just 2016, and that if 300k lead is true then for 2016 PS4s lead is up to 500k+? and if it also works December that could easily be 800k+ lead in 2016?

oh.... and the PS4 also lead in 2015 and 2014. What the you think the cumulative PS4 lead is in NA now? And we aren't even talking about WW. Keep in mind, NA is the XB1 strongest territory.

If the rationale of this is that PS4 had an upgraded hardware revision release, then they might be somewhat right.

So you sre really saying that PS4 managing to in ome month outselling the XB1 by around 300k is nothing when it took the XB1 4 months to build a gap of around 260k?

And while talking about hardware revisions... look at this, amongst the months the XB1 won one of those saw it have its own hardware revision release along with a price drop. Had its biggest games of the year released during the ssme 4 month window. Basically, the equivalent of throwing eveeything at the end of the year. And in one month PS4 made all that just go away? And to you that's nothing?

This is becoming embarrassing.

Firstly, we do not know the gap but it if it's that alleged 300k, then yeah intrinsic for me it's not big when you take into account PS4 pro release, since without it, PS4 could be outsold by xb1 or barely outsell it! Why do you find that preposterous?

Secondly, I hope to see the same angry post when I will say exactly the same thing if when xbox scorpio comes and wins PS4 for  just 300k...

Lastly, nothing... haha

Sure some. Just like I am comparing one month to FOUR. The bigget months difference was when the xbox on S came out. The difference was 114K. 20K higher than october with Gears.

You didn't answer my question though. You actually think the xbox one S will win 7 out of 12 months up against the ps4 AND the switch? Based on what?

Sorry. I didn't see the question.

I think it will based on sales momentum and their new console coming out. Winning four out of the last five months can't be ignored and if they can pull that off with a redesign, what can they do with an all-new, machine?

I could be wrong and things just magically revert back in Sony's favor but usually, that's not how the gaming industry works. You will typically see sales swing in chunks, or years. It's not often hardware wins for four months and then drops off. There's usually fire behind that smoke and it's probably why Microsoft felt compelled to open their mouths lately about the tides turning, or whatever it was they said (can't remember the actual quote). They know something we don't... more than just winning NPD. There's probably alot of internal data that we don't have access to that is showing them something bigger has happened in the US than just a blip on the map.

Why do people ignore the obvious signs and reasons why something happens and then when it reverts back they are in shock.

MS have generally done poorly Jan-March, mainly because Sony always stacks games up, but the bottom drops from XBO, now this year might be different because of Sony also cutting the cost and if they raise it too much then it will impact sales.

But... it was plainly obvious why MS did well for those 4 months, lets start with Pro, then start with MS undercutting the PS4 slim (and sony not dropping the price), then lets go for lots of XBO users trading in their old consoles for a much better designed S version. Its really obvious why MS won, but all of that catching up was lost in 1 month. I admit the gap from MS in Sept/Oct was pretty good, but the previous two months were not worth writing home about. The gap will widen in 2017 in Sony's favour, to use your term, they wont magically just revert back to MS :D

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

"we do not know the gap but it if it's that alleged 300k, then yeah intrinsic for me it's not big when you take into account PS4 pro release, since without it, PS4 could be outsold by xb1 or barely outsell it!"

That is true... with a 300k gap, without the PS4pro it might just barely have outsold the XB1.
However a win is a win :p  And 300k is still a decent sized gap in itself... the gap is growing in the US.

Sony can go even with the XB1 in the US, and make up the win by world wide sales.
And still 2 : 1 the XB1, gobally.

People weren't buying PS4 slim due to the anticipation of ps4 pro, so I guess many customers don't care for its price, actually it's cheap for what it is and that's good! Sadly sony couldn't  predict that, to produce and ship more... They should curtail slim production and raise ps4 pro production.

The 500k numbers pertains to november NPD gap, the discrepancy overall in the USA should be, if not more than 2m, fairly close to it...

Dude, where did you find the power to see into the future? Share the goods brother!

And secondly, if the PS4Pro is responsible for 300k in sales, do you think that if it didn't exist PS4 would have sold 300k less.... like... a % of those buyers wouldn't have bought a PS4 Slim? Right? Your logic is skewed for obvious reasons, and this is just a time loss for everyone.
