Beats me man I have done zero verification on that slide or the context surrounding it. Some random user was the first to link it to this site and since then I've seen people start to reference those numbers as fact but the truth is I don't think anyone here has proved it one way or another.

Also Also, the sales figures on vgc are inaccurate including what they have for the USA. So you might see a general correlation but it's easily possible for xb1 to be over or under tracked still. If someone can cite the slide it would probably go a long way as far as getting everyone on the same page for where we can predict current sell in for Xbox.

So you want npd numbers?

12.40m as of july...

Aug-Sept-Oct 300k on average, equals 13m...

Wow thank you so much, I don't remember seeing that chart before. So... Are you implying that these numbers in the slide were referring to sell in and not sell through? Because it says right there that they had been shipping about 500k a month for an unspecified amount of time. Aligning that with your NPD chart, we could assume that 500k has been the last three months... Coinciding nicely with the arrival of the slim and the fire sales of the OG model.

Guys dont you know..... PS4 is dead, it died this year!

"Sony also announced a slimmer version of their console but it was too little too late. The consecutive announcement of both the Pro and the Slim pro-actively killed interest in any product from Sony."

"For Sony, however, this was pretty bad news. The Sony PlayStation 4 Pro launched with pretty tepid enthusiasm amongst gamers, with Xbox dominating Black Friday thanks to several spectacular sales."

"It’s pretty clear, and Microsoft is on point when they say that 2016 was a turning point for Xbox. With blockbuster releases and hardware that won’t stay on shelves for more than 5 minutes along with the gangbuster announcement that Microsoft will take the power crown next year. Xbox clearly won 2016, and 2017 will be a very important year for them to see if they can keep the momentum going. Sony, on the other hand, needs to really pull their socks up since their ‘free pass’ can only last so long before the reality distortion field disappears and gamers realize that they have been led astray with broken promises and cash grabs. Lmao.... wow... that site is pretty Pro Xbox :)

Either that, either  that the pic it's a photoshop product or the 22m figure is for something else, like xbox live users on windows 10...

I don't think they can get to 100 million unless it's a seven year gen, but sales should be great next year too.

Next year: good, potentially great, exclusive lineup, price cut for the Pro, marketing rights to Destiny 2, Battlefront 2, Cod and Red Dead 2

Really? It should at or very close to 75 million by the end of 2017 then it's probably got 2  years to sell 25 million units.

Plus remember that it won't stop selling just because the PS5 is out. The PS3 has sold more than 7 million units since the launch of the PS4.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Microsoft missed this generation...

Xbox one is selling worse than Xbox 360.

We thought with the launch from halo 6 the console would sold better but currently we are seeing that Sony is destroying Microsoft easy.

Microsoft was wrong with her policy since the begining.

And now he hardly try to get the first position but sony finish off them.  Nintendo and Microsoft have been stroken harder than they have never been.

I miss the big period from xbox 360.....

I'll never forget that night.

And yeah. They did stumble hard out of the gate.

Here is their about us.

"Our journey started on Twitter in the summer of 2013, not long after the Xbox One reveal. Following a conversation between Xbox fans with similar ideas, we decided that the mainstream media lacked the knowledge or inclination to properly represent Microsoft's vision for a unified Xbox and Windows platform. "

Or you can just go with the bottom part "We are the superfans of the resurgent Microsoft ecosystem."

Holy Fuck it's the Xbox version of Breitbart! Hahaha
