So, estimating that PS4 reached 50 millions, do you thing Xbox one reached 30 milions

Someone posted a link showing the Xbox One was around 22m units sold by end of september..

Im pretty sure the xbox one is below 30m right now.

Considering the US is 65% of the Xbox One's sales that's probably a given.

How many units had they sold by last year's PSX?

Edit: 30.2 million units as of November 25th 2015.

A year lateron and there at 50m.... and next year is probably going to be the "peak" for the PS4 (bigger than this year was).

So this is looking like a >22 million year for PlayStation? An incredibly solid number.

I don't think XBO has quite reached 30 million yet. 26-27 seems more likely, but who knows really. (microsoft do).

It was at 22 million sold by the end of October with 14 million coming from the US. The slide in which MS revealed this was at the Windows 10 event this year. We've had a month and some change since then, but given the apparently slow selling nature of the one, it's probably around 24 million by now.

When was the windows 10 event?

That's awesome. Just nice to see somebody give actual numbers. Sold through numbers no less. Would like them to give the Vita Sold through numbers as well.

My memory might not be right, but I believe it was end of september? Someone posted a picture from the event, and I think it said "end of september".

Back then it was at 22m, since then Oct, Nov, and now we re in dec.

Its bound to be few million atleast higher than then.

*edit: PS4 has to be really close to doubleing the Xbox One... wish Microsoft would give out numbers.

However if the first time in forever they give numbers, and its just to confirm that theyre doubled in sales by PS4, they probably wont want to do that.

Thats some excellent numbers!100 millions is mor ethan likely now, assuming things keep the way its going.

https://www.destructoid.com/sony-surpasses-50-million-ps4-sales-403520.phtml

"Today, Sony has informed Destructoid that they've shifted 50 million PS4 units as of December 6, 2016, boasting the "best ever Black Friday week in the history of PlayStation." That number evidently includes Pro sales, though Sony didn't disclose how much of that factored in. Sony clarifies that this is "sold through to consumers," and not "shipped."" - qoute Chris Carter@DtoidChris

At the end of October lol to clarify, the event itself was October 26th so sales could be accounted for up to any point in time before then. I don't remember if the slide denoted it but I'm guessing sales were relatively up to date at that time (as in, this 22 million includes up to September 2016, maybe part of October? Idk)

30.2mil on November 22nd 2015 and 35.9mil on January 3rd 2016

Hmm...So I think the PS4 should be able to do around 52-53 million by the beginning of 2017.

The PS4 typically does 4-5 million in December alone, so it could be 54-55 million by year's end.
