Multiplats generally run at 900p on Xbox One, and sometimes even lower. Even a lot of its exclusives fall short of 1080p, like Ryse (900p) Dead Rising 3, (720p) Quantum Break, (720p) Sunset Overdrive, (900p) and Halo 5. (Dynamic, but down to 1152x810)

I numbered around 30-35 1080p games, around 20 900p games and around 10 games that have lower resolution than 900p.

That list is woefully incomplete.

Where's Titanfall 2? Battlefield 1? Mirror's Edge? FFXV? Dishonoured 2? Mafia 3? Deus Ex?

If Nintendo uses a type of checkerboard rendering (NVidia's version of it anyway) I mean they could very well get something like

Rendering a 600p image, gives them 720p in portable mode

Rendering a 720p image in dock mode gives them a 900p image in docked mode

Rendering a 900p image in dock mode gives them a 1080p image in docked mode

That wouldn't be bad at all.

Thats list gave you good example of resolutions of XB1 games, if you have more complete list I will gladly take a look.

I'm still not really sold on that idea. These kinds of reconstruction techniques tend to have weird side effects.

Here's Killzone Shadowfall's reconstructed 1080p:

Note the artefacts around the doorframe, to the right of the enemy player, in the debris at his feet, and around the player's weapon.

We can definitely expect some 3rd party games running at 540p in tablet mode and 720p in dock mode.

Go hit up digital foundry. The majority of the Xbox One games analysed there, (which is nearly all major titles, far more than in that IGN list) are sub-1080p.

Shrugs. Looks ok to me. Perhaps Nvidia can also come up with a technique that's similar but better. No offence to Sony or AMD, but Nvidia is the no.1 GPU provider in the world for a reason and they have the best graphics engineers in the world (partly because they can actually pay them, unlike AMD).

IGN list has 60-70 games, are you telling me that Digitally Foundry of XB1 analysed games is bigger than that?

Yes. Digital Foundry has been uploading game analysis articles every few days since the system's release 3 years ago.

Thats great, but Digital Foundry really dont have one list with resolution of XB1 games, and that IGN list actually shows that most of XB1 are 1080p games, also with all Indie titles, 1080p is easily most used resolution for XB1 games. That proves my point that not 1080p is standard that all trying to achive, but we entering 2k/4k gaming with Pro/Scorpio, and with Switch coming in 2017.  I dont think Nintendo will again go with 720p resolution after Wii U and I very doubt they would go for 900p resolution like a standard resolution.
