I do care, because I wanted so bad that SH game to become a reality. Plus I respect del Toro work more than I will ever respect Konami ever again (Konami was my fave Game company, mostrly because SH and MG; now they let all their followers down because they didnt want to risk their money anymore)

When was the last decent SH?

Well we can argue which one was the best or the last good one, for me, I liked even the Downpour... but even if the last good one was SH2, I will be more upset, since this one looked far better because of the new approach and graphically speaking.

Downpour was decent! Who's with me?!

It wasn't brilliant or anything and definitely lacked enemy variety, but I thought they did a really good job with the open world design. I liked it for what it was.

I agree with everything you said

I agree with him, P.T. was amazing and Kojima would have done a great game.

I agree, it had his moments, I played 3 or 4 times overall. Some bad design in the monsters, but overall it felt really good, with the water/rain/humidity theme.

I loved, the feeling of disconfort constant humidity gives us was almost tactile, really smart choices here and there in Downpour.

I'm actually more pissed off that he had Pacific Rim taken from him. He was pretty passionate about it, and the sequel, and now part 2 is in the hands of somebody else, with an entirely different cast.

Are you talking about that not so good Evangelion live action?

No. I'm talking about Pacific Rim 2, which is now set for 2018 release.  He was pushing hard for the sequel to Pacific Rim. He directed, produced, and co-wrote the 1st one, and was quite invested in getting Pacific Rim 2 off the ground. Giving frequent updates to his progress. Then, out of the blue, Warner Bros decided to go ahead without him. I think they tossed his original screenplay in the proccess. I generally like his movies, and the 1st PAcific Rim is a fav of mine, so the whole thing as it happened sucks imo. I didn't even know about the live action Evangelion.

Yeah. They were surprisingly ambitious with it for a more modestly budgeted game. I was more impressed with it than I was by Homecoming, which was also decent but just kind of a retread of previous games and totally stole SH2's plot twist.

Even the enemies in Downpour all made psychological sense. I just wished they weren't all humanoids.

That is a very true point: the enemies, althought they looked kind of unninspired, made sense: the monster police car and female cops, the  executioners representing the everpresent Law, and  even the women screamming, it made sense.

I agree that it is light-years better than Homecoming, it is more sincere, artistic, honest. It is a shame that game was forgotten by all, Downpour is a true hidden gem.

also, the side-quests had a "carnival haunted house" feeling to it, they were very fun to me.
