Are you talking about that not so good Evangelion live action?

No. I'm talking about Pacific Rim 2, which is now set for 2018 release.  He was pushing hard for the sequel to Pacific Rim. He directed, produced, and co-wrote the 1st one, and was quite invested in getting Pacific Rim 2 off the ground. Giving frequent updates to his progress. Then, out of the blue, Warner Bros decided to go ahead without him. I think they tossed his original screenplay in the proccess. I generally like his movies, and the 1st PAcific Rim is a fav of mine, so the whole thing as it happened sucks imo. I didn't even know about the live action Evangelion.
