Last year the gears bundle was the only xbox console at $300 for the holidays besides the lego one which sucked while the rest were more expensive so it was their main bundle. This year BF1 and Minecraft are sharing the main bundle sales since they are the cheapest ones. If there was only 1 big $250 bundle it would be ranking a lot higher. Also last month gap was 100k with Pro preorders and PS4Pro was a lot higher in the monthly. This month Minecraft bundle is higher in the monthly and Pro is a lot lower, also no Pro preorders. Since we dont know the gap it could go either way on Amazon but we shouldn't ignore last months results and the preorders. PS4 could be winning but so could the XB1 idk but saying its a fact that one is winning is wrong.  

It's actually already at 4m as of today give or take a few thousand.  

By the end of 2017 it will be close to 6m. Probably 200-300k short. 

You do realise that CGI was purely talking positions when he was said about PS4 being decisive winning front runner because we have no way to tell how much weight each position holds and that is a fact. I think he tried to tell you about 10 times over the numerous amounts of comments back and forth. 

Yes, but the biggest differentiatior is what console came AFTER the #1 and #2 consoles. 

November '15:  

#1: PS4; #8 XBO; #15 PS4; #23 XBO; #31 PS4; #42 PS4; #44 XBO; #59 PS4

December '15:

#3: PS4; #15: XBO; #40: PS4; #55: XBO; #88: PS4

So the big difference between this year and last is that PS4 had more bundles in the top 100 than XBO last year, and ontop of this, they always had the third place console, after each of PS4 and xbo's top bundles. This year, ps4 still has the highest spot, but XBO has third place as well, and it's right behind it's second place spot. And it has 2 more bundles after that to ps4's one. To me, this makes the winner this year much less certain.

Like i said we dont know the gap either way. Yeah PS2 is #2 if so it ahead of XB1 on rankings but we should consider what happened last month and consider the gap also. Its not a fact that a certain console is winning Amazon because we don't know the gap. Its ok saying i think a console is winning but saying its a fact that a console is selling the most without knowing the gap is wrong.

Are you not reading what I wrote. You had the same problem with CGI when he tried to keep explaining.

I understand what youre saying. Since the PS4 is at #2, and #85 and the XB is at #20 #23 #75 #80 you guy belive that PS4 is winning because its ranking is higher. The problem i had with this is that you guys was saying its a fact that PS4 is winning. Read my edit above it shows that it could not be a fact and just looking at ranking like that could be wrong.

But we are talking about positions. Why is this so hard to understand? PS4 has a strong lead over the Xbox One and that's a fact when talking about positions on Amazon.

Would anyone care to take a bet on who one December? I bet XBO beats PS4 by >150k (honestly, I think it's more likely it'll be by >250k).

As I've stated, I'm a PS guy, so I'd love it if PS4 actually did come out on top, but I just don't think it's gonna happen, unfortunately. If I'm seeing things objectively, XBO did a much better job this holiday, all around. And Sony seemed to be complacent. It's so different from last year when Sony just dominated XBO with its bundles and partnerships (and capitalizing on partnerships). It's like this year Sony and MS switched. Sony had just as much capability for effective bundles--just adding a ratchet and clank bundle for kids and a COD bundle for all ages would've made all the difference--but they just didn't do it for some reason. Yet, as history proves, the holiday season is the ONE time of year where Sony actually needs to work to beat XBO, so it was the worst time for Sony not to try harder.

The poster claimed PS4 was leading in sales based on the position which CGzi agreed. Yes the PS4S UC4 bundle is the best selling bundle on Amazon but saying PS4 is leading is putting weight into the position because hes they are assuming that the PS4 gaps is large to the nearest XB1 bundle. That seems like putting wieght into the positions. The problem i had was that they were saying its a fact. Yes saying the UC4 PS4 is the best selling on Amazon is a FACT but saying PS4 is winning is putting weight in the position and passing it on as a fact was the problem i saw.

The Xbox One outsold the PS4 during December 2013 and 2014.
