BunB said: Then why mention the gap when clearly all the Xbox skus are lower on the monthly compared to the BF bundle which is much lower than the PS4? The hourly and weekly are irrelevant when the gape is bigger on the monthly by a huge margin. If all those Xbox bundles (there were tons last year, which were higher. Check Amazon Nov 2015 and Dec 2015) were all in the top 10 or 20, then you could make the statement that they could sell better than PS4 combined. For reference. PS4 was number 1 in November last year and highest Xbox sku was number 8. PS4 still won. https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2015-11/videogames/ref=zg_bsar_cal_mo PS4 was number 3 in December 2015 and Xbox was number 15. https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2015-12/videogames/ref=zg_bsar_cal_mo#1 Compare that to this December in the gap is bigger with PS4 at number 2 and Xbox is at number 20. Of course anything could happen, but since this is the Amazon thread the PS4 is selling better this month no question. |
Yes, but the biggest differentiatior is what console came AFTER the #1 and #2 consoles.
November '15:
#1: PS4; #8 XBO; #15 PS4; #23 XBO; #31 PS4; #42 PS4; #44 XBO; #59 PS4
December '15:
#3: PS4; #15: XBO; #40: PS4; #55: XBO; #88: PS4
So the big difference between this year and last is that PS4 had more bundles in the top 100 than XBO last year, and ontop of this, they always had the third place console, after each of PS4 and xbo's top bundles. This year, ps4 still has the highest spot, but XBO has third place as well, and it's right behind it's second place spot. And it has 2 more bundles after that to ps4's one. To me, this makes the winner this year much less certain.
