Forums - Gaming - One hour is more than enough to judge a game

I agree in the case of shooters, sports and racing games, and beat em ups. And even then you can't judge their story, which would need the be finished to have the full picture. Anything else, not a chance to see everything in an hour.

Yes... But can't judge a game in 1 hour just judge the one hour.

Persona 4 must really suck if we jugde it by the first hour or three.

Was about to say the exact same thing.

Pretty sure I actually liked the first hour of it.... so not sure what to say...

FF12 took be abit to "get".

That doesn't really work with RPGs at all

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Idk, I consider XC a slow starter for example. I hated Xenoblade for the first 3 hours, I thought it was generic garbage. But then after a few certain scenes and certain mechanics opening up I started to like it

Completely false.

My 2 favorite games (Persona 4 Golden and Steins;Gate) were so boring/weird in the first hours I almost stopped playing. Glad I didn't.

No, you need to get through at least 50~70% of a game
Unless it's a pick up and play type of game

Not true. Xenoblade Chronicles X for instance the first hour is just the intro of the game. Persona 4 doesn't get started until you are like 3 hours in. If you are playing Gunblade or Dynomite Deka 2 well then an hour you can beat them. It totally depends on the game. Instead of an amount of time it should be based more on percentage. Let's say 40-50% of a game. By that time you should have the gameplay down and a good idea where the game is going.

I've played many a game where the first hour was 10/10 material. Then by the end it was a 7/10 game.
