In some cases sure, but if I had stopped playing Wolfenstein: The New Order after the first hour, I would have missed out on a great game.

Judging an RPG by its first hour is like judging a movie by its first 3-5 minutes, or a book by its first chapter.

Lord of the Rings, it's a story about a bunch of hobbits having a party for a very old greedy midget. Not the great adventure I thought it would be.
