PS4 Pro = 4.2TF

Xbox Scorpio = 6TF  (42% more powerfull)

PS4 Pro 1440p = 4,953,600 pixels

4K = 8,294,400 pixels (67% more pixels)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_common_resolutions

I really dont get the math.

In my brain 4K is about 40% more pixels than 1440p.

From what I understand Microsoft has finally broken through the code that was holding them back from reaching Really True 4K

according to Cerny the PS4 Pro does 8.4 TF do you also believe him?

Well if he did say that to mislead and it's not taken out of context, he can stfu.

Easier to wait a year and find out.

well then why people take it for granted that the console will do 4K ?

Because the console has been advertised to run 4k.

I think we should take a step back for a second. Sony and MS can both easily make a machine that plays 4k games with high end PS spec but guess why Sony and MS have limited the tech inside their consoles in the past? Price. Sony really did an outstanding job in making a more powerful machine in the Pro for $50 and that where the biggest challenge is. If MS are going to slap together parts to make a 4k console and ask for $600+ it's not going to sell. You really do have to balance the tech and price otherwise you're just making another Steam Box.

PS4 Pro can do more than 1440p...

1440p is the base line tough for AAA games

Bull.
The numbers for AAA titles so far have varied, with them taking varying approaches to resolution / rendering.
"Base line" is meaningless drivel.

Bigger picture, yes, we can say that announced Scorpio specs are basically "barely" able to regulaly pull off AAA @ 4k.
So much so that in many games, there will be the tendency to want to drop resolution in favor of FX/FPS.  Fair enough.
But the title of the thread is trolling BS, pure and simple.

Do the Math baby!

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Now of course people argue its just the GPU and the Xbox One has more ram and better CPU but so does the PS4 Pro with 2.1 ghz CPU, all what Xbox Scorpio has is more ram from 8Gb to 12GB. But i doubt this is enough to give true for 4K, GPU is mostly important to get a higher resolution, the Xbox One will probably hit 7 million pixels maybe 7.5 million pixels but this is still not enough to get true 4K which is 8.3 million

Meanwhile you have all these people and sites going around saying that the Scoripio will do 4K 60fps, it wont even do native 4K

12gigs of Vram is an insane amount if its GDDR5 ram. Thats more than the new Nvidea 1080 card which is claimed to run 4k easily with 8gigs.

Also no one is saying 4k and 60 frames (Maybe X1 Exclusives games like Halo 5 which already run at 60 frames, than you have a native 4k at 60) MS never claimed 60 frames. They claimed native 4k. If gamers are spreading rumours about 4k at 60 than there going to be highly disapointed.

A. Only a few PS4 Pro games are 1440p upscaled, most run at a higher resolution such as 1600p.
B. Digital Foundry believes that the CPU is limiting Pro's capabilities more than the GPU, so assuming MS is smart and uses Zen instead of Jaguar, they should be able to get much closer to 4K and might even hit 4K in some of the less demanding AAA games.

Pro already hits native 4k in AAA games so if Ms do release Scorpio with the promised spec then it should hit 4k on a more regular basis. But we are talking about MS here and after the promises they made with the cloud we have to take what they say with a pinch of salt. I'm not sure why people are hanging on to their every word.

You're extrapolating from PS4Pro instead of Xbox One.

Scorpio will be highly capable of 4k AAA experiences, may come at the expensive of some texures detail/gfx effects

I'ts all about optimization.
