Player2 had it

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

#40 Nier

One of the most underrated games of the previous console generation. Has a great story with memorable characters and an excellent soundtrack. Only the gameplay brings the game down slightly, as it is a perfect example of adequate. There's nothing wrong with the gameplay, but neither is there much about it that's great. The boss battle are the highlight, and some of the surprises the game throws at you (a dungeon played entirely as a text adventure comes to mind) are very clever, but the game's combat is largely just alright.

Let's see if you can guess the next game:

An NES platformer often considered the best in that particular series. The original japanese names of many of the characters were based on genres of music.

Mega Man 2.

Correct. Only my second favourite in the series, but more on that later.

#40: Excellent start to a trilogy, with a hugely recognizable and charismatic main boss, but with an embarrassing "final form".

Time for my hint 39-

This game stars an explosive hero who was finally able to jump in this game. He was also given different equipable tech that allowed him to occasionally fly, travel underwater, and snowboard.

Yeah, I expect Big Rigs to be way higher on your list. Such a masterpiece.

Not as good as Superman 64 imo.

Can Superman fly backwards in the speed of light out of the boundiries of the actual game and ignore basically all laws of physics of matter and space and beating the game give you a typo congrats message and freeze forever while you look at a message with a typo on a re-revised version of the game and realize your opponent didn't even moved at all?

Superman 64 has nothing on Big Rigs, its greatness is many levels under it.

Big Rigs is winner! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWlgKcdPzy4

My can't decide what I love more about BR: driving outside the scenario, the holographic bridge or the fact that your rivals will always stop before reaching the goal.

40 - Advance Wars: Dark Conflict

While I was playing AW: DC, I realized that I spent a considerable amount of time thinking when I was not playing. I was taking a walk and suddenly realized how I could win the battle I had stopped some hours before; or I discovered myself visualizing my troops movements during my breakfast. It’s the only Advance Wars game that I’ve ever played, and probably I would have appreciated better the light-hearted visuals of previous games, but the tactical challenge of this strategy game is one of the most addictive experiences I’ve ever had.
