Honestly, this is all on the liberal young voters with "principles" that decided to protest vote, write-in Sanders or refuse to vote because the primary did not go their way.
Congrats, you sent your message. You gave the DNC the finger. You can post about it on social media.
You gave the US presidency to a man that represents all you stand against because you didn't get the candidate you wanted for the Democrats (and reality check, Clinton was super liberal too).
A bunch of people blame this on DNC. No. This is on you and your arrogance and your "principles".

And I truly hope I never have to hear the words "Bernie Sanders" again.

I was under the impression that most of these people don't want Clinton elected anyways.  So they got their wish.

I think the worst part about Trump are his ideas about climate change. If a big industrialised country like the US doesn't help to stop climate change right now, it may cause millions of deaths by the end of this century.
Trump is very selfish, he tells people what they want to hear, and not what's actually good for humanity and for this planet.

What we see is backlash against the fearmongering. The global warming myth was blown out of proportions, and with time more and more people saw behind the lies. Psychologically this creates a counter-reaction. An increasing amount of people are sick and tired of the fearmongering and the shaming and the playing on guilt, wether it's about global warming, the refugee crisis or the European Union.

You can't expect to shame and bully the Western citizen into taking the whole responsibility for all the world's problems and not get anything back but increased shame and bullying.

How fun do you think it's for a white guy to be blamed for all the problems of the world, constantly be called entitled, a sexist, a misogynist, a racist, a homophobe, a fascist and egoist? And yet he is supposed to pay for climate change, he is supposed to provide for the refugees, he is supposed to be the absorbing airbag when somebody from the outside is frustrated. And on top of it all he gets bullied and beaten up and becomes a minority on his home shores. Never given even one thanks. This equation just doesn't work in the long run. Eventually people will be fed up and react.

Trump is just a catalyst for this counter-reaction. And it will happen time and time again if the left keeps shaming and bullying the members who make up the backbone of our society.

"The priests lied to us about fire and brimstone and they're fucking whores while preaching abstinence? Burn down the church!"

ok then, time to show us your real face and how you handle selling (not) solving real issues to your voters. playtime is over now.

You clearly haven't paid much attention. He specifically mentioned he will make America great again by making it great.

Democrats choose the wrong candidate to contend against trump. Hillary is such a stereotype establishment candidate which is what people despise that its no wonder she lost.

Eventhough I have to admit the media made it seem that Trump had no chance, which also shows how detached they are.

Bernie had a real shot. But the democratic base thought that Clinton was the better candidate which speaks volumes on how detached they are, living in their liberal bubble.

Calling everybody racist, sexist and deplorable and thinking that this will get them somehow points with the normal people.

They do not understand that most if not all people have their biases and this is part of being human.

Well atleast this result is an interesting shake up of things. Lets see how it turns out.

Lets hope Trump does not abandon the Paris agreement on CO2 emissions. The rest of his policies do not bother me to be honest.

Not just the democrats called Trump supporters racist but media did. The media shamelessly tried to shame white people into voting Hillary Clinton out of guilt, but the brave American people amazingly enough stood up against the establishment.

Yes, this will shake things up a little but mostly Trump will be held back once in office. He himself will largely hold himself back and try to prove everyone wrong and behave like a statesman.

Best way to stand up agaist the establishment is voting for a millionaire? Who would've guessed that? Well, if we're stuck with Theresa May, nothing is more fair than America having Trump.

All those useless polls bahahaha.

Turns out there was indeed a very large silent majority.

Nope the silent majority is the people that didn't vote and they didn't help either candidate win or loose.

Congrats Trump! :)
But gg world. The first big war is going to start in 2017.

Actually, we averted that by not voting Hillary. Putin had all but promised war if she won. Ironic that she had a higher chance of starting war than he did.

He vanquished the Bushes and Clintons, hopefully forever. Even if he winds up getting us nuked, he still has my eternal gratitude.

Hehe, so much this. The corrupted members of US government needed to get the boot and I am so happy.

I don't think he'll get anyone nuked though

Actually he didn't vanished the Bushes there are still over half a dozen of them that have political ambitions and they are not going away anytime soon. The Clintons on the other had are pretty much done since I don't think Chelsea Clinton will ever go into politics.

I think you're looking at it from the wrong angle. The question one should ask is, what was it about Donald Trump that despite him being a millionare, he was able to attract the grassroot voter who has increasingly grown critical of the establishment?

That despite Trump belonging to the elite himself, he was able to represent so many frustrated traditional voters who are genuinly worried about the radical changes in Western societies?

It will all work out in the end

I think
