Mario 64 is a classic yes, one outdated as hell.

3DWorld is a way better game nowadays, and now you're gonna laugh for decades, but what can I expect from someone that constantly confuses bigger with better.

3DWorld better than Mario64...

hahahahhaahahhahaahhhahahahahahhaha

hahahahahhahaahhahahahahhahahhahhaa

hahahahahahhahhahahhahahahahhaahhaa

hahhaahhahahahahahahahhahahshhahaha

hahhaahhahahah...

hahahahhahahahahahaha...ahhahhh

hahahhahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahah

hahahahhahahhahahah

Not even in a distant parallel world.

I laugh hard right now

My main issue with 3DW is that as polished as it was, it felt terribly uninspired.
Not once when playing it did I get that "oooh, that's so cool/clever" feeling that I got often when playing 64 or Galaxy 1/2. Levels were composed of simple building blocks with very few moving parts or dynamic elements, there were no real surprises, nothing so memorable as finding an underwater lake with a giant plesiosaur in it in Mario 64 or climbing a planet-sized giant robot in Galaxy.

If laughing is your way to deal with reality, be my guess, but the fact is, once you get rid of nostalgia, one of those games is very addictive, the other only feels like it was fun at some point, long time ago. There is no other game on the franchise that has aged worse, and that's because when it was made it was a priority to show the 3d capabilities of the console making huge worlds, and that was the right thing at the moment, but the gameplay suffered and now that nobody is impress by those graphics is more obvious than ever. It was more ambitious, more revolutionary and more inspired but while 3DWorld can be a fun game forever, Mario 64 hasn't been a specially fun one for a long time now, nostalgia is just very powerful sometimes.

Whaoh are you really writing all this stuff for that simple comment?

I laugh because the reply of Pavolink, which is almost always write funny comment, and his avatar just make all more fun.

I was laughing on this, not on your opinion about who is better than Mario 3DWorld or Mario 64. Feel free to call me nostalgic if you want, you have your opinion, i have mine.

I prefer Mario 64 over 3DWorld for the simple fact that Mario 3DWorld was:

- Way shorter

- Way easier

- I prefer the gameplay mechanical on 64

- i prefer by a lot the music on Mario 64

That is, i won't reply to another you comment cause i don't want to discuss who is better than who, if you prefer 3DWorld, great for you.

Nostalgia.

Lame argument. As lame as 3DWorld compared to M64

Mario 64 = classic.

3DWorld = forgotten game without a future.

Nintendo choose well to go back to M64 and forget about 3D World.

Yeah that's the narrative some of you are looking for, but the fact is the game looks so similar to 3DWorld that most people didn't even realized it was a new Mario lol, this new game looks heavily inspired on 3Dworld, in fact is probably Nintendo looking for a middle ground between the masterful gameplay and level design of 3DWorld and the feeling of adventrue and setting variety of 64. But keep thinking they take inspiration from one and not from the other, you are usually that blind.

My comment wasn't that serious, you can comment anything you like, I was just making a point, sorry if it looked too defensive.

Most people didn't realize that the game was not 3Dworld because nobody played it. Anyone who have played it would have know that the level showed on the Switch reveal is not on 3D World.

Yeah because this is so damn different from 3DWorld:

Oh the camera is behind Mario! Totally different game! Nothing to do with 3DWorld xD

OMG yeeeeeessss (not saying that I don't like Galaxy, I love it. Haven't played 3D World)
