Thing is exclusives makes a system appealing and it's more important in today where all consoles are more or less closed PCs. Nintendo might gaming millions but will loose billions because it will devalue their platform. Nintendo knows it much better.

I think that's why they are doing different things like mario on an iphone, like hollywood movies and orlando parks, to not go third party.

If the Switch fails to make an impact on the industry, then I think Nintendo should seriously consider other options like going third party. As long as Sony and MS still is in the console business after next gen of course. Otherwise I would like to see another Nintendo console.

Lol, yeah it's kind of silly to post a thread like this.

how is this silly? it's an article with my opinion about the article? some users are too judgmental and shit "I don't like your thread or your opinion so it's silly"

childish.

Childish is constantly complaining about Nintendo doom threads and as soon as we didn't have one for a day posting one yourself.

this conversation is childish, therefore you win, now we move on.

Because that’s exactly what could happen. Make no mistake: Nintendo is no Sega. So long as the company retains its immensely talented internal development staff and its stable of beloved franchises, it would be a third-party game-maker to be reckoned with.

post every Nintendo doomed article in the comment section! but for real, I see the same article every generation.

What doomed article are you talking about? This is anything but that. Read your own quote.

Apparently, It's a doom article for  Nintendo as hardware maker,  (  which by the way releases a new hardware in just five months ) .

It's not a doom article only when you think  that If Nintendo has ever be forced to go third party, unlike sega they can do it succesfully because of all that huge franchises and won't die completely as some people irrationally implying.

Altough, there is mobile gaming too, movies, themed parks e.t.c...

that's not my quote, and the Nintendo doomed meme is about their console market, not about their developers or financial status. Are you going to say that we don't have enough "nintendo is going third party" articles?

Clearly I was referring to the part you decided to quote, i.e. your quote. Also, you called it a doomed article, even though it isn't. Whether we have too many "nintendo is (or should) be going third party" articles is irrelevant, since I specifically addressed the "doomed article" comment.

There is this insane negativity with anything that has to do with Ninty releasing games on other platforms. At first it was against mobiles, then pokemon go did amazing and suddenly everyone started singing a different tune. Same thing will happen when they release games for PC or whatever. More money is by no means doom.

Releasing games on mobile hasn't prevented Ninty from releasing games on their handheld. Making games for other platforms and thus increasing their sales doesn't mean they are forced to do so due to failure. It could simply be to raise brand awareness, to make new generations fall in love with old Ninty ips.

But, yes, I agree with what you said.

For someone who seemingly 'hates' Nintendo, the OP sure appears to be obsessed with seeing Nintendo software on his hardware of choice. Crypto-Nintendo fan?

it's not about negativity buddy, it's about being a fan of something. Playstation games on xbox? sacrilege. Halo on playstation? sacrilege. ios on smasumg? sacrilege. The same here, I don't want Nintendo games on playstation or xbox because I like to buy their hardware, not because I hate sony or ms. So I will have a "negative" opinion when someone says that Nintendo should go third party and leave the hardware market. That, and that we have the same article every generation predicting the same thing, Ryan from IGN says that we could see mario and zelda on playstation in 2020, my opinion is "wow that's silly" even if Nintendo goes third party, that's not going to happen by 2020.
