I said a lot of things at the beginning of this generation.
-Current gen console sales would be front loaded.
-Current gen consoles aren't much of an improvement over last gen.
-Hardly any software feels fresh and new.
-....uh, Rise of the Tomb Raider would score higher than Uncharted 4 (I still like Tomb Raider more)
-Resolution isn't important.
I've probably said more stuff, too. I can't remember.
Now, a few years later, I'm loving the PS4 and Xbox One. I've purchased a 4K TV with HDR. Playing VR makes me feel as giddy as I did playing N64 back in 1996. Sales are great. I've preordered a PS4 Pro. I couldn't be happier. And to think, I once said I wouldn't even buy the an eighth generation console.
Thank you games industry for keeping me engaged. Now, if only we could fix Capcom and Konami.....
