It's 2016... So... No way. Modern games simply wouldn't fit.
With how big games are getting, 16 is no where near enough. Hopefully they also have larger size carts available too.

As long that cartridge size can be upgraded to 64GB without any additional cost to the developer, I don't really care. I trust that Nintendo remembers the cost of limiting 3rd Party developers with cartridge sizes very well. Maybe if Nintendo can do things right this time, we can actually get a Final Fantasy VII release on a Nintendo console!

I believe they do. The Tweet said that 16 gigabytes was the standard size, not the maximum size like the article says.

Yes, can the title please be changed as it's a lie. Over 50% of the posters on the thread took the time to figure that out - which is impressive - but this thread is still getting more life than it deserves.

Guys, even the standard bluray has 50gb size. No matter how many times you guys are trying to reword this article, it's still a bad news abt NS. Let's hope this is just a rumor (altho most of the rumors have been very accurate)

They can go higher than 16 GB, though. Sometime ago, there was a rumor about a 32 GB cartridge for the Nintendo Switch (that is if I read that correctly).

I doubt it. They'd have to compress games like a mofo, and we all know how bad that can turn out...
That seems a bit nonsensical to me.

Well, again, the whole meme is 100% BS.
3DS already has game cards using 16gb.

You can use memory card AT LEAST up to 128GB with 3DS. (article doesn't mention larger sizes but I don't see why not)
