Forums - Nintendo - What Will Nintendo NS Games Cost?

Price of NS games (USD)?

$60 39 60.94%

$40 6 9.38%

...$50? 19 29.69%

Total:64

I don't think it's really a question. It's gonna be $60. If it's getting the same games as PS4/X1 from 3rd parties, then there's no chance they'll sell for cheaper unless it's an older game.

€70 at the stores a bit lower than 0 if you know the right retailer

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Nintendo on the NS:

"The functionality will be like a handheld, but the prices will be like a home console". xD

This fucking post. This, made my day XD /thread

Thanks!!! ^__^

Depends on game, $60 for something like BotW, $40 for something like Woolly World, and there can be stuff like DKCTF going for $50. Can't vote in the poll because this answer isn't an option.

Depending on the game. I hope they have more flexible pricing, smaller games can keep its handheld price while HC level games can keep theirs.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It will range betwenn the prices you listed. There will be big budget games, like Zelda, which will cost 60 dollars, and there will be smaller budget games, like Captain Toad, that will cost 40 dollars. In other words, it will be as has always been for console games prices.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

$40 games will still exist. I doubt a Captain Toad sequel, for example, would cost $60.

With the cost of cartridges factored in, plus HD development, I'd say $60 for most titles. The Wii U had it's fair share of $40 releases, though. Those games will probably go for $50.

Money, I'd guess. As for how much, I'm going to say $60-70 is going to be the norm since it's being treated as a home console (for now, at least). There's probably going to be some cheaper games as well, but I wouldn't expect them to be the norm.

I think it depends on the game. Nintendo will keep releasing budget titles like Captain Toad, Splatoon and Yoshis Woolly World.
With third partys I expect games like Professor Layton or Ace Attorney to come to the system for largely the same pricepoint and remain smaller but amaing expieriences with stylized art and great writing, while AAA ports will sit firmly at 60$, less graphical fidelity be damned.
