Except this is objectively not a big deal, just something common that everybody does, things of this teaser are subject to change, oh what a disaster.

Opinions are never objective things.

Tell me, can you objectively say with 100% certainty at this point that Skyrim HD Remastered is coming to the Nintendo Switch? I"m not saying likely, I'm not saying "well I don't think Nintendo would do that". I'm saying can you say that you know for a fact that that Skyrim HD Remastered is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

No you cannot.

But there are thousands, if not millions of people out there that think that it is because of this reveal. there are thousands, if not millions of people out there that think that think the Nintendo Switch is powerful enough to play games as technologically demanding as Skyrim HD Remastered. Those people will justifiably feel betrayed and misled if it turns out that this game actually is not coming to the Nintendo Switch.

You might sweep that under the rug, and pass it of as a non-issue. But there are plenty here who would wholeheartedly disagree.

So we should be making a drama just in case the game doesn't come ... even when nobody has said it isn't coming, how about judging things when they actually happen? But no, some seem too desperate to wait for reality to happen since that may break their narratives.

Sorry, I was just quick replying to OP and hadn't read posts yet.

But we had some threads of people saying Nintendo wouldn't ever show what wasn't already commited to launch on Switch and that graphics would be better in the next flow of games because those were only ports from WiiU.

So they are 6 months from launch and doesn't have a single show piece of a game even after 18 months of leaks? Well we can certainly compare that to PS4 and X1 reveal. And now we truly now why nintendo won't talk more about the system until 2017 and why they decided to launch this teaser close to Pro launch.

I spent the whole Skyrim advert thread saying 'this isn't on Nintendo' and went to great length to explain why I thought, logically, it wasn't on them. In this thread I get accused of having an agenda because I've conceded this is turning into a cock up. What can you say ... ?

Well, you know that we are all Nintendo haters that can't see a positive Nintendo news that we need to dismiss it, it must be that, there isn't any other explanation.

I think people are reading too much into this. Nintendo only wants to reveal their console this year and because that they only showed placeholder games like MK8 and such. Even the actor who worked on set said the TVs and such were blank. The footage was added after the fact. The intention was only to show off the console, not the games. Similar to the Wii U Zelda demo

... we are judging things when things happen. Nintendo just came out and said we shouldn't assume anythingwe saw represents actual Switch game footage. We are commenting on the implications of what that means.

Nintendo created the drama when they released a reveal of the Switch using "non-representative game footage". People went from having a good idea of the kind of games and gameplay experience they can expect on the Switch to having no idea whatsoever.

Its fine that you don't have a problem with that, and it's fine that I do.

Maybe the bolded part is exactly why people are reading "too much" into this ^^.

Then they should have learned! The same thing happened with the Gamecube too

If people learnt that we wouldn't be seeing the amount of hype and rumour threads we got for more than 1 year.

But the console is coming out in March. You would have thought they could have used third party games that are actually coming to the console.

The PS5 Exists.

You know, you'd totally have a point, execept the Switch is releasing in 5 months. In comparison, imagine announcing a game at E3, showing a trailer that gives the impression of gameplay footage, and then coming out after the E3 announcement and stating "you shouldn't assume what you saw on the E3 trailer represents actual gameplay footage".

Ohh wait, that kinda did happen with titles like Alien: Colonial Marines. Lawsuits were filed over that.  I think that's how the phrase "bullshots" game to be. It was a big deal. Why should Nintendo get a free pass if that turns out to be the case here?
