Errrr if they are port then it's useless talk. Waiting to see what would be bad about nintendo having the games being bought from ios or android playstore and being readily playable on Switch without needing to port.

Nintendo Shift uses a completely different Api and OS to Android/iOS. Emulation would be the only way and there would be performance hit for doing that.

Not asking about that. I'm asking about you being against it having apps/games from them unless they port it over.

To be honest, yes.

I think this concept can fly very high and recover some of the lost market.

However we still need to know a lot of details to be sure.

it will kill it. that debut commercial is golden, I haven't liked the last few Nintendo home consoles but am hyped as hell for this.

The reality is casual gamers want a bang for their buck. A great hybrid of TV gaming and portable? success.

Bear in mind regardless of if this somehow didn't pull in casuals (I think it will), Nintendo even in the most recent gen has like 65 million 3DS owners and 10+ million Wii U owners, you're combining those two segments before even the factor of hoping to draw in others.

All I know is I think they lost some of the traditional Nintendo fans on the home console fronts (like me) last gen, but this make entice a lot to come back

Depends. If their 3rd party games can match up with their competitors they they have a real shot.

Will it do better than PS4? Not likely. Will it do better than XB1? More likely.

I think the Switch will be successful enough to keep Nintendo going for next gen.

It probably wont get much 3rd party, multi plats that ps4/xb1 does.

It wont matter... the unified games library means game output for this system should be much higher than the Wii U's.

Also I think you could see 3rd party arm based (android) games being allowed on their E-shop.

So it ll have all the most popular mobile games, along with nintendos own output.

erhm the third parties will come if the system sells well. Simple as that. So its left to be seen.

All I know is its an insanely promising thing to be promoting SKYRIM on-the-go as a selling point immediately, as far as third party stuff. Shows Nintendo is pushing third party hard.

also they'll be in wayyyy better shape now with a unified library, should be like double the first party releases from Nintendo for the console compared with the Wii U (absorbing the portable developed stuff)

Hard to say just yet. It shows promise. The initial promo video was good. 3rd party support is cautiously good. It's a system that could either become a cultural phenomenon or a flop. I'd wager for the former right now, but it will need a good launch campaign and really good software.

Voted yes. As you said, based on what I've seen.

- "If you have the heart of a true winner, you can always get more pissed off than some other asshole."

Depends entirely on the price, I think. any more than $250 and they're entering very dangerous terrain. I think it would be a guaranteed success at $200.

Yes, It has potential to be very successful.

Price, no droughts, and marketing will tell

Hard to say, but the idea to combine the possibility to play at home and mobile with one system is really cool, and with good support with great games things can turn out really good for nintendo
