However, while I think the Switch per that trailer seems really neat and portable, I just don't think I'll be getting it right away.

The next successor to Mario 64 is coming, I think I'm more hyped for it than for the console. Even if showed only like 5 seconds of it.

Pretty much. It's a portable Wii U, more or less. It'll be a nice handheld, but a mediocre home console. 

If its just an hdmi out, then its not really a home console. tablets already do that and phones, we dont call thouse desktop hybrids.

Isn't that pretty much an handeld wii U ?
Also the dock looks like a toaster and the color is awful.
I hope it uses 4G to connect to the dock and the games run on it.
