I think most of the alolan pokemon forms are fine. Though the biggest slap in the face is indeed diglett and dugtrio, my absolute favorite pokemon line. Game Freak granted my wish and they just gave dugtrio wigs... So upset about that.

Yeah, it can't be hard to give new forms to pokemon from all the games, so I dunno what Game Freak is thinking when they were picking pokemon to give new forms to.

Oh, that's a reasonable and disappointing point if true. It def makes sense and gets the most out of Pokemon Go currently. I'm holding doubles of pokemon ready to transfer over too.

Graveler and Golem are pretty good, though what's up with the heavy brows and facial hair...?

Just looks like a generic fish shape to me, and that's just it's appearance while in a specific position, not an actual dolphin, just like Tapu Koko isn't an actual chicken.

The biggest waste of potential here were Alolan forms. When I saw Exxegutor and Rattata it made sense because both are from tropical environments. But then they kept ONLY being Gen 1...what I thought would be cooler is if they had only done tropical Pokemon and got them Alolan forms. Like Alolan Tropius, Octillery, Mantine, etc. To fit the theme. Most of these forms not only lack a tropical feel which make them look out of place, but just look off. Like Persian.

I think being the first HD Pokemon game that maybe can be played on the TV will automatically make for a big system seller regardless of the gen. You're probably right though, another Gen 7 game on 3DS next year then gen 8 in 2018 on NX would make a lot of sense. Even Nintendo themselves are still supporting 3DS next year so Gamefreak definitely will too.

I'd say it depends on the Pokemon, since console spin-offs namely the Stadium games look better than their handheld counterparts, but you wouldn't say Battle Revolution isn't a Gen4 game. That logic isn't solid though, since what if the Gen1 remake only has Gen1 Pokemon but uses the updated Gen7 mechanics, like how PoGo has fairy type? I have no idea! I just hope if they must do another Gen1 remake that it doesn't delay the Gen4 remakes. I need my nostalgia fix too damn it! 

Eh, to me the Gen 4 games were always outdated, still battling with still images, but the presentation otherwise and mechanics were decent enough for me to finally jump in. Would I jump back though? Nah, I generally find it hard to go back to older games, I couldn't finish Explorer's of Sky because of this. The only way I'll play Gen 4 again is through remake! Oh and I don't expect them soon or on 3DS, probably 2019 at the earliest. Besides, Twilight Princess HD exist. :L
