I'd say it depends on the Pokemon, since console spin-offs namely the Stadium games look better than their handheld counterparts, but you wouldn't say Battle Revolution isn't a Gen4 game. That logic isn't solid though, since what if the Gen1 remake only has Gen1 Pokemon but uses the updated Gen7 mechanics, like how PoGo has fairy type? I have no idea! I just hope if they must do another Gen1 remake that it doesn't delay the Gen4 remakes. I need my nostalgia fix too damn it!

hmm, I`ve never really thought of the home console spin-offs being part of gens anyways. When I think of gens I usually only think of the handheld games.

I`m sure if there were to be a gen 1 remake it would use updated mechanics, but what if it uses some gen 8 mechanics, except we don`t even know they`re gen 8 mechanics yet until the new mainline gen 8 games appear.

Oh, and do you really need gen 4 remakes? I mean, the originals are playable on 3DS already and aren`t that outdated... Neither are the gen 1 remakes really, but we still need a Pokemon Yellow remake... cuz Pikachu FTW!

Eh, to me the Gen 4 games were always outdated, still battling with still images, but the presentation otherwise and mechanics were decent enough for me to finally jump in. Would I jump back though? Nah, I generally find it hard to go back to older games, I couldn't finish Explorer's of Sky because of this. The only way I'll play Gen 4 again is through remake! Oh and I don't expect them soon or on 3DS, probably 2019 at the earliest. Besides, Twilight Princess HD exist. :L
