R* sold more copies of RDR (without ever going to PC even) than Nintendo did with it's last home console. And pro tip... none of them were on Nintendo hardware. It's irrelevant what Nintendo 'used to be' in your eyes, most of the people who grew up playin NES have for long time ago moved on to PS, Xbox and PC. Good on them to have some of a foot on the pre-teen and family friendly / casual audience, they are a great introduction to the new generations to gaming as a hobby.

I'm not trying to be confrontational here, but I think there's a desperate need of a reality check by some people commenting on this speculation.

No, but you come of as very, very condescending all wrapped up in a rather full of yourself nauseating "elite/hardcore" superiority theories. I have news for you, like me & I have no problem admiting it, you are a nerd playing children games, deal with it, there's nothing mature or manly about playing video games, just some fun good times alone or better with friends, just like a good old Monopoly, RISK, Uno or Battleship!!!

Not sure you've noticed that as you were typing this diatribe, R* just announced RDR2 coming to Xbox 1 and PS4.

I guess I was right afterall :)

 

Oh yes, I'm a gamer, not sure exactly what makes you think they are for children though :D. Why exactly are there labels for games with age ratings?

So it's announced. On xbox and Playstation. Not on Nintendo platforms and pc. As expected.

If you're a fan of rockstar you really should own either a PS or XB. Anyway this news is megaton. So hyped for next year.
