Involvement in several FF, starting from FF4, which is the first one to be hailed as trully excellent.Kingdom Hearts, which is a masterpiece by itself, the list goes on.(I mean, its a crossover of Disney and FF, and he manages to make an excellent game. How can you not say its a masterpiece?)

But taking that aside, its probably a fake account.

It does take more than one person to make a game, but the overall creation is the responsibility of the director.

I mean, no one says Final Fantasy VI was Takahashi's masterpiece, and yet Xenogears is. He worked on both, probably with a very similar crew of developers.

And I agree if only applied to FF, since it isnt Nomura baby. But KH is.He is the series director. And you may not like the series, but many consider many titles in the franchise masterpieces

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Given what he`s said in interviews before... yeah, that seems about right.

Well, other than the `another masterpiece` bit. He`d have had to have made a masterpiece in the first place to be able to make `another` one.

I consider Kingdom Hearts 1, 2, and Birth By Sleep to be masterpieces.

I have played KH2 and felt it lacking not Final Mix. I have yet to play Birth By Sleep or the 3D.

The difficulty of the vanilla KH2 doesn't allow the battle system to shine. KH2 final mix has a "Critical mode" that shows how great the game's battle system is. Honestly it has more strategy involved than most ATB based Final Fantasy games

Honestly I don't see what's so bad about the FF7 remake having action combat and I don't understand why do people think that action combat is inherently worse than turn based combat. Not like the old ATB Final Fantasies were super strategic or challenging...

I think the fear it is going to be button masher if it is action combat. Personally I more worried that Nomura will continue his emofication of cloud in this game. I still consider AC Cloud to be horid.

Well I guess that's a reasonable fear to have but to be fair the original FF7 is mostly spamming the attack commmand :P

Regarding the emofication of Cloud, did Nomura work in Advent Children? I haven't watched that movie but I heard that Cloud is super emo there or something like that (maybe I heard wrongly). He definitely isn't emo in the original game tho.

Yes he was the director of Advent Children. I know people like Advent Children, but I think that is the worse thing to happen to Final Fantasy VII, as it seems to have set a tone for a lot of things in the future.

That's more or less the reason why I consider the combat in a lot of his games to be lacking.  Decent overall feeling of combat, but Nomura is a button mashing maniac.  His QTE gameplay special abilities in combat, the combos, in minigames, in locked combat to try and overwhelm your oponent's strength, and even just the amount of time it takes to kill a lot of the enemies designed in his games.

Also greatly worried about the over emo-fication of Cloud in FF7 remake.  And it's becoming a running joke now that the first thing Cloud has to say in all the spinoff games is "not interested".  He has a hell of a lot more to say Nomura >_>.

You can actually hold the confirm button down to have everyone attack automatically when their turn comes up, or the last command used if you have Memory selected in the config menu.

I noticed that SE doesn't do this anymore in their games.  Even in FFX HD you can't do it, even though in the original you could iirc..you have to keep mashing the buttons :/  The menu is slower to navigate too

Tabata had something right about FFXV in that sense.
