Well I guess that's a reasonable fear to have but to be fair the original FF7 is mostly spamming the attack commmand :P

Regarding the emofication of Cloud, did Nomura work in Advent Children? I haven't watched that movie but I heard that Cloud is super emo there or something like that (maybe I heard wrongly). He definitely isn't emo in the original game tho.

Yes he was the director of Advent Children. I know people like Advent Children, but I think that is the worse thing to happen to Final Fantasy VII, as it seems to have set a tone for a lot of things in the future.
