What match are you excited for at WWE Payback 2017?

Neville vs. Austin Aries ... 1 5.88%

Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyat... 3 17.65%

The Hardy Boyz vs. Cesaro... 3 17.65%

Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jer... 4 23.53%

Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss (Raw Women's Title) 3 17.65%

Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe 1 5.88%

Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman 2 11.76%

Total:17

Cody's next opponent is Logan Paul. And that is a great decision.

Again, we know Cody is not going to lose at this point. So, the next best thing is to book a match where, even if the outcome is obvious, it's an outcome everyone really wants to see. Everyone wants to see Logan Paul lose, particularly to someone who has clearly worked harder to get where they are in wrestling.

Huh. cody vs AJ Styles got 5 stars from Meltzer. I mean, it was good but 5 Stars? I dunno, seems highly sus.

Storytime with Dutch Mantel is another great one. I'd say Dutch is probably around as intelligent and knowledgeable as Cornette, but doesn't have the volume turned up to 10 for every opinion. So Dutch, Jim Cornette, Cafe Rene (Rene Dupree, and often Paul London), and Eric Bischoff are probably the ones I recommend. I've fallen off listening to Vince Russo as much, and I probably wouldn’t recommend him, as he changes his opinions, drastically, depending on which side of the borderline he's on (I'm 90% sure he has borderline personality disorder). Russo can go from being interested in a lot of minute details of the wrestling industry and discussing it with people one day; but, the next day calling all wrestling fans a bunch of idiot marks, and that he hates everything about the wrestling industry and its fans. Russo is profoundly cynical, and a massive drama Queen half the time… you just don’t know which Russo you’re getting when tuning in.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Tama Tonga needs a new finisher.

Too bad he cant use his Indies finisher (which is basically the RKO lol)

Dutch is a smart guy. But to me, listenting to a version of Cornette without the foaming at the mouth is like eating pizza without the cheese.

It's a weird looking version of the flatliner. Typically the person delivering the flatliner stays standing. Tonga jumps up, almost like a codebreaker kind of thing. Which probably actually would hurt more, but looks awkward. Maybe it'll just take some getting use to. Or maybe he'll have to murder Orton so he can use the RKO.

Meltzer's ratings have been sus for a while. But, this is at least relatively consistent for him. Match lasted about 30 minutes, they made subtle references to other matches they've been in, used obscure moves that are popular in Japan, did a few flips, and Cody even no-sold a finishing move. Pretty much up Meltzer's alley. Probably one of his less egregious ratings.

Someone needs to explain to Nia Jax that when they tell you you're going to squash someone in a match, they don't mean it literally. She's going to kill someone.

Edit: Although at least she's not using a flamethrower on anyone...

I'm glad Gunther won KOR

Although it wouldnt be surprising if he goes after Cody - I hope he stays in RAW and goes after Damian.

I have mixed feelings. Gunther and Cody is definitely a more interesting match, but Summerslam may be a bit too soon. I think Priest is facing Mcyntyre at Clash at the Castle. So... either Drew wins and that sets up Drew vs Punk at Summerslam with Gunther facing Rhodes, or Punk screws over Mcyntyre to set up like an unsanctioned match or something.

What amazes me is how John Cena became so popular in the WWE and now I don't even hear about him. Also the fall of the mcmhann has been very interesting to follow over the course of the last two years.

He's not in WWE anymore - at least not actively, he's busy doing TV shows and Movies nowadays. Not as big as The Rock but still relevant than most especially with DC's Peacemaker.
