What match are you excited for at WWE Payback 2017?

Neville vs. Austin Aries ... 1 5.88%

Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyat... 3 17.65%

The Hardy Boyz vs. Cesaro... 3 17.65%

Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jer... 4 23.53%

Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss (Raw Women's Title) 3 17.65%

Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe 1 5.88%

Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman 2 11.76%

Total:17

Finally bit the bullet and bought my tickets to Mania. Spent a bit more than I planned... but who knows the next time Mania will be close enough for me to go and there will be matches I want to see. I'd rather not be watching the monitors the whole time. If Cody loses I'll probably cry. And maybe stick a chicken nugget up my ass.

As for the Rock, makes sense he would turn on Roman, but I don't think he'll really cost Roman the match. Feels like you want Cody to win as clean as possible. I think it will be more along the lines of Solo or Jimmy is going to interfere and the Rock stops them.

The way that segment was shot tonight and with Rock not quite doing the "one" right has me thinking he and Cody are secretly in cohoots. And when the time comes at WrestleMania and the moment of truth arrives, Rock will turn on Roman, cost him the title, and help Cody finish his story which will then plant the seeds for the Rock/Roman match to finally happen at next year's WM.

Yeah , this is what I am thinking will happen.

I could see something like this happening:

As we are in the climax, entering the closing moments, of the match, Solo will try to interfere as usual (I think Jimmy will be occupied w/ his match w/ Jey and the twins will cancel each other out). But Rock will tell Solo to stand down. Roman will look at Rock like "WTF are you doing?!? I need him!" And Rock just scowls and stares at Roman like: "This shit has gone on long enough. As the High Chief, I am above you, and I say if you can't beat Cody on your own, you're not worthy of being Tribal Chief."

So the rest of the match, Roman has to go it alone, and he can't do it. Cody gets the better of him and gets the win.

My only question/doubts about this scenario is: Where does Seth fit into this? What is his role going to be?

He's likely not gonna be able to do much because he's injured so he'll probably be taken out.

I'm gonna say maybe Damien Priest (assuming Seth has the title still after his match at WM) will cash in and he'll be put out due to that.

Jey will fight Jimmy and likely if Sami gets involved, will get in front of Solo.

I was gonna say, they should bring Stone Cold if The Rock was gonna stay full heel but its likely he'll become a face during this match so no chance for Stone Cold to show up sadly.

Yeah. Something like that would work. To tie Seth into this, you can just have him try to stop Solo first, but he gets taken out, and then the Rock steps in. Or, you have Seth and whoever else joins Cody's superfriend posse neutralize everyone in the Bloodline, so they think they're in the clear,  but then another Samoan pops up (Jacob Fatu perhaps) and that's when the Rock has to jump in.

Seth's involvement in this is weird. I kind of feel like he's not making it to Mania as champion. It made sense to rush him back from injury when there was a dream match with Punk on the table, but at this point, I dunno. I feel like they may have the Bloodline cost him the title by beating Seth down and having Priest cash in while a helpless Cody has to watch. That would work for the story, but then it's hard to see what they do for the title match at Mania. Priest vs LA Knight maybe?

Or they might somehow make Seth win the match on night 1 and then have him lose the title to Priest in night 2 when Cody vs Roman match occurs.

Yeah, they could just have Seth win. I usually expect title changes and Mania, and kind of feel like it's time to pull the trigger on Mcyntyre, but maybe you just have Seth win, help Cody retain, and the two babyfaces celebrate at the end like Eddie Guerero and Benoit.

If they have Seth retain, I wouldn't have a cash in. That feels like a bit too much. Just let the moment of Cody winning land.

Whatever the plans for the WHC are, they have to involve Drew McIntyre.
He has been ON FIRE the last month and a half. He's likely the odds-on favorite to win the Chamber.

I cant even remember who else is in the elimination chamber match lol

He's been getting so much exposure on TV - surely he's been signed a new contract otherwise they wouldnt be showing him off so much.

I think they’re probably going with Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre. But I’m much more interested in seeing Liv Morgan and LA Knight win.

Forgot to mention, I’m happy they brought Paul Ellering back for AOP.
