So, what did everyone think of Double or Nothing?

Great start to a company, last match felt a bit flat, but more than made up for it post match. 

Hope they continue to improve camera, felt it was more jumpy than wwe and missed a couple of key spots because of it.

Also this is personal thing, doubt they will do this, but please less blood, I know most fans love it, but I think it is very careless. 

1. Completely agreed. Not only was the event itself great, but I heard that it had a pretty good buyrate, http://whatculture.com/wwe/aew-double-or-nothing-34-beats-200k-buys-34, so it was financially successful as well. The main event, while it was good, definitely could have been better. I know Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega can both do much better, but yeah Dean Ambrose Jon Moxley with the surprise appearance was huge!

2) I think the camera will come with time. This is the first event they've ever run so there are going to be shaky details at some aspects, they just need to run more consistently and I think it won't be a problem for long.

3) As for the blood, I'll say that too much blood is definitely careless. If they're not careful, they run the risk of becoming a clone of ECW and we know how they ended up. Too much of it will eventually turn fans away and put all of their talent at dangerous risk for no meaningful reason. However, I do believe there is a place for blood/blading in the industry, but only when it means something and when the match, stipulation, and story call for it. When those aspects line up, blood can take a great match or a great angle and just make it 10x better. The match between Cody and Dustin meant something. Brothers facing each other, both the sons of an industry icon and legend who is no longer with us, in what was potentially the older one's' last match. And the post match angle was made all the more emotional and amazing given that it immediately followed a war that they just went through - blood being a contributor to that. Basically, there's a reason why fans love it, it's not just because "it looks cool", but because it adds to the story and makes a great match, angle, or storyline that much greater when done right. Key words being done right. 

Gotta say it was nice of Cody and Dean to be so humble on social media after the event. It's like they're doing all the can to not make Vince have a rage stroke.

I'm basically WAY behind on everything except mainline NXT right now (NXT UK is close, but I have like 6 of TV shows to catch up on). AEW I don't have easy access to unless I want to watch it on some sketchy/filthy streaming site. Although, my interest is low since the main AEW angle is the tired-since-1997 "FU WWE/WWF" gimmick (plus I'm not a rebellious teen anymore, I'm old now!).

Basically, I've learned that main roster WWE between Wrestlemania and Summerslam is break season, so I'll watch again come August or so. If WWE is looking to do interesting things again, I'd say they should look at what they were doing in late 2017 and early 2018. IMO that was an awesome stretch.

But if rumours are true that the 24/7 title was "some network executive's idea that WWE thought was dumb but was forced to try." then it just goes to show how out of touch they are with things that can make their show popular. As right now the 24/7 title series is by far the most popular video series currently going on WWE's youtube channel. R Truth will be reminiscent of the 24/7 rule hardcore champions of old, particularly Crash Holly 2.0... kind of funny, because R Truth is actually old enough to have WON the 24/7 hardcore title twice back in 2001 - both times by pinning Raven, and losing each time to Crash.

But anyway, here it is; something most über/hardcore/epic/1337 wrestling fans will hate due to its goofiness, but the rest of us will love due to its goofiness!

One thing I have noticed about NXT, is that a match like Tyler Breeze vs. Dream would be reviewed as a 4-4.5 out of 5 match on any main roster show, but because there's usually 2-3 matches with quality up in the stratosphere, these otherwise great matches get knocked down to average scores (like a 2.5-3 out of 5). In short, Breeze vs. Dream was prime Chris Jericho vs. prime Chris Jericho.

that taker match was both sad and painful to watch :(

gotta say, Vince offers him money, he takes it knowing he cant perform. this is 100% the fault of the greed of those in the ring and all the blame should fall on them, fuck off and move on so new stars can main event, not watch some old farts fall around and snap each others necks and hips, lost a ton of respect for all involved tonight for so many reasons.

Found it pretty crazy that R-Truth had a number of video package parts during the flights to Jedha for the Super Showdown which included 2 times that the title changed hands.... but R-Truth had literally no appearances during the show at Saudi Arabia, did that poor bastard really have to fly around the world just to record a few youtube clips? or maybe my only hope is that those were recorded with the plane on the ground and he got off before they flew out, because to go through flying all the way there and back for nothing would be just too painful to think.

But considering that Kofi was at Ghana which is just 3k Miles from Saudi last week, but then had to fly 6k miles back to US for Smackdown and then 7k miles back to Saudi for friday means that they have little to no respect for the time their (non) employee's spend traveling around the globe to make their product less shit.

Is there a better kicker in pro wrestling than Arisa Hoshiki?  

Also, Maki Itoh is awesome.  A real former idol who is hilarious and overflowing with charisma and is really making a name for herself very suddenly.
