This isn't good, and I'm afraid that this is just the beginning. A public console war on Twitter, by both Microsoft and Sony, would be enought to make things even more toxic on the internet.

I think you missed the era where Sony talked up the Emotion Engine and even at one stage was comparing the PS2 to the Gamecube in raw numbers. 

Just like you missed every Sony motto this generation being "This is for the Players", not "This is for the Framerates".
