But you CAN take a gamepad too, PC gives you both options, and there is a number of ways you can make it confortable from your coach, I use a little table and I find it way more confortable than wasting my time and money with an outdated console that has barely any worth while exclusive and a 10% of the games I can get on Steam, I don't find the "is slightly less confortable for one single genre" as a good argument, specially when that exact genre is made to be played on PC, the gamepad is not accurate enough but console players have no other option.

Wow, calm down man. I don't see any reason in wasting my time on expensive hardware that is always receiving poor ports of AAA games such as Arkham Knight and MK X, ridiculously late ports (like GTA V, that was launched before on platforms that weren't even available when the original game launched), deal with stuff that simply refuses to work, like Shadowplay that remained broken by two months until they patched GeForce Experience whis week.I could go on and on with crap publishers threw at PC versions: bad FOV that gives motion sickness unless you mod the game to change it because they didn't bother with a FOV slider (also, hope it isn't online or you get a VAC ban for "cheating", while you are just trying to play without throwing up), games that refused to work on my older Phenom 2 because the imbecile developers compiled them with flags that only worked on newer AMD CPUs (running a FX now, so it's "fixed"), games with poor hacking protection like The Division that are simply unplayable on PC. Oh, and let's not forget the anti-competitive tactics that Nvidia employs against AMD, frequently ruining PC versions for half of players because they want to sell more GPUs. And I don't even want to start talking about G-sync/Freesync, since Nvidia is being so stubborn that they will probably destroy the possibility of tearing free monitors because nobody wants to change a damn monitor when upgrading a GPU and getting one from the other vendor. Of course, a lot of this stuff is caused by publishers being evil ans such, but let's face it: that's like things are. They won't change. So it really doesn't matter who's fault it is, what matter is that it happens and really affects the experience.
It doesn't matter if it has less games than Steam, the 90% more games are just indies. I rather have my God of War and Gran Turismo than Undertale or Goat Simulator. And if you look at the people complaining about PS+ giving away indies, you'll see that most seem to agree. Indies are a niche stuff. I like them, but a lot of people just want the latest AAA games with tons of marketing.
I work, I study, I do a lot of stuff. The last thing I want when I'm going to play games it to worry about any of these stuff. When I need to relax, I just grab my controller, turn on my PS4 and I'm playing right away. No fuss. It does everything for me so I don't have to worry. I just need to buy a box every few years, plug it on the wall and on a TV and it's running right away, while my desktop, after decades of evolution, still is a mess of cables.
My point is that both platforms have their pros and cons. The problem with a lot of PC gamers is that they can't accept that some people actually like consoles better. It's a preference. You consider the pros of PC more important than the pros of consoles, while guys like me think the opposite. But what I see in guys like you is that you think you did the best choise evaaaah and everyone that disagrees is stupid. You will probably say that nothing I said happens, maybe even going as far as saying that Arkham Knight runs in 4K @ 60 fps for you, while it simply refuses to keep more than 30 fps here.
