So you hated when Sony bought exclusives on PS1 and PS2 as well right? I am sure Haze's exclusivity was just a coincedence as well. PS fanboys are always complaining about MS buying exclusives when Sony set the predecent for it two generations ago. Not only that when Sony does it for the PS3, the same people that bitch about MS's "bribery" don't have a damn thing to say.

Sony don't pay for exclusives any more. If you can supply evidence that Haze is a bought exclusive then do so or STFU.

Please supply me any evidence at all of any PS3 game that Sony have paid for exclusivity on.

I was going to call your intellect into question. I mean you'd have to be an idiot to believe what you typed. Then I remembered it was April Fool's Day, you had me there for minute.

In my opinion Fable 2 > MGS4 + GT5p

edit: this is in response to the statement that PS3 has better exclusives by the Sony exec

If Microsoft is clever and does the right marketing than the DC can be a real ace.

They just must have the balls, to do an advert where they say, that you can only play the "complete version" of GTA IV on XBOX 360. And they must also print it on the cover of the game.

If the masses see, that they can get more for less money, than it's a no-brainer that the xbox-version will sell much more than the ps3.

However, if they don't use the DC in that way, sony has nothing to fear. I bet most of the buyers will not know the differences between the versions.

The extra DLC will be $50 to $60, along with $50 to play online, i think Sony has the better deal, considering the DLC is only about 10hours each, when the real game is over 100.

I know this and you know this. But I doubt that the majority out there is informed. And because the DLC isn't available at start, there is no need for microsoft to mention that you need to pay twice (or three times) to get the "complete version".

Lets be real, do you honestly think that the business suits at Free Radical Design just decided it was a good idea to drop development of the game on the PC and 360, a system known for it's FPS sales and ease of development, to keep it on the PS3? Also remember that at the time Free Radical Design announced it as exclusive the PS3 was getting hammered in sales by the 360, especially in North America which is the biggest market for the genre.

 It's pretty simple.

True, Sony doesn't give developers or publishers hard cash for exclusives.  Their deal is the folowing: for every dollar a publisher spends on a PS3 exlusive (or timed exclusive), Sony ads a dollar of their money. So by making Haze a timed exclusive, Ubisoft doubled their promotional budget. Worldwide. That's a LOT of money.

MS just pay hard cash for exclusives. Like the 50 mil for GTA4 DLC.

I too think that steinberg's an ass. But frankly, I finished San Andreas after more than a year, at a time I had nothing else to play. And I never Finished the PSP versions. So if GTA4 is as big as they promise its going to be, extra side missions are not a big factor in deciding which platform I'm gettin it on. Maybe the DLC is just side missions and they're not that good. Maybe MS wil overcharge, to recoup their 50 million loss. Maybe I'll be playing Little Big Planet by then, and getting a gazillion pieces of DLC for free with that game. Or Resistance 2, with 31 of my clan members.

GTA always shifted way more copy's on PlayStation than on Xbox. So I think it's release will boost PS3 sales more than it does Xbox 360 sales.

We can already estimate the price of the DLC based on its length and the popularity of the game. Plus you need to pay tax and other nations will be paying more becasue the US always pays so little, so a price of 50-60 dollars is logical. You need XBL to play online which is about $50 in the US and upwarsds of 70-80 dollars in oher nations. Plus we have already been told that the length of the DLC will be about 10hours each, this has been posted on many different sites and maybe what R* said. We have all played the past GTA games so 100 hours is the norm, plus i'm pretty sure R* said it was atleast 80hours of gameplay.

So you're saying that:

- normal gameplay time is 100 hours

- the two DLCs together are 20 hours

- the DLC costs almost the same as the game.

Is that how you estimated it?
