I'll never understand why FIFA (the organization) only sells the licences to one gaming company.

PES should have all club and national team licenses as well, then we'd finally have a real competition again.

Konami sucks at competing. EA gave them a console and they decided not to release PES on it either. Its mind boggeling.

They left them 3 consoles actually, I think Pro Evolution would do amazing on PSVIta and WiiU and 3DS lol

I don't play soccer games but anything that could hurt (even if slightly) EA Sports is a good thing imo.

You think its better to hurt the gaming devision from EA over Konami? Odd decision.

Good to see the lift in score (for now) on Pro Evolution Soccer, but after playing both demo's I am going for FIFA, the real clubs and players are always the main drive for me, I tought both games played and felt good, but the more populair and official game will be more fun with friends, online and to really get all the players from my favorite club, thats worth more then the review score, since FIFA has not been a bad game for some time.

I remember in the PS2 Era, I used to be a Pro Evolution man :)

Yes, given the fact that back in 2004, EA got so scared of the superior NFL2k5, they decided to buy the NFL rights because they knew they couldn't compete. Ever since then, it's been one shitty NFL game after another. 12 years, with only one crappy NFL game in a country where the NFL is the most popular sport. It's absolutely depressing.

So any harm that EA Sports incurs? I'm totally ok with.

It's graphically so good, visually so much better than Fifa this year.

I mean Fifa will have to suck this year for me to consider PES but good on them!

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

It looks stunning and the physics and animations were miles beyond in PES 2017 compared to FIFA 16, but the woeful licensing is a huge issue and ruins the experience. Also; PES 2016 goalkeepers were mind-numbingly stupid. Goalkeepers are apparently fixed but the license issues persist, so this is a bargain bin purchase, if any, for me.

Played the demo, the gameplay is light-years ahead of any FIFA game. Just such a shame that PES has a big lack of licensing. Looking at the licenses right now, how do you not have the licensing for teams such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid?

Used to be a PES guy until I got a PS4, doubt I will go back. FIFA is a more complete package and it's also a good game

Too bad it's from Konami, I don't want to touch a PES game again (and the last one I played, 2015 I think, was pretty bad).

Now at 88. That is still very impressive. My last PES game was 2014. But I won't buy this. I own Fifa 16 and that is enough football for me.

Not many reviews yet, but still woah that's pretty high. The only PES (2014) I've actually played was woefully inferior to that years FIFA though and IIRC it still has fake teams so... no chance of me buying it.

it has better gameplay and graphics over FiFA, always did
